He’d not see the floor on BU if he didn’t give max effort. I can see why some from URI think he may be lazy, but Zek’s game is smooth, but I didn’t ever see a lack of hustle on his part when with Bradley.
We’ll take you back as a fan base in a heartbeat!
some comments about Zek on the fan forums from his previous team after he entered the portal. "didn't break a sweat last half of season. Adios"
"Bye!!! thank gooodness"
"Never seemed like he was giving full effort. Zero "fire" it seemed....we can do better"
I'm grateful for the positivity that the Bradley base holds. I don't think I've read anything this negative on the PTown forum.
Zek, come on home buddy. We actually like you here!
I would like Zek to returns but I don’t want that to be our 2-guard move. I’d be fine with something of this nature (I want 6 rotation guards, and I won’t count on Johnson as a freshman yet):
1 - Deen/recruit/Burch
2 - Top Notch shooter recruit/Burch
3 - Zek/Davis(also 4 man minutes)/Burch

Wow, that's amazing. Zek was their leading scorer through the first several weeks of the season, and was still the 2nd leading scorer when their coach decided to take him out of the starting lineup, reduce his role, and limit his minutes. In the 15 games he started, he averaged almost 28 minutes and 12 points per game. In the 16 games he came off the bench, he averaged just a little over 20 minutes, and only slightly more than 7 points per game. I didn't see his games, so I am not going to comment on his level of effort, but we didn't see any problem with his effort at Bradley. It certainly looks like the drop-off in his production had a lot to do with his reduced playing time and being reduced to a reserve role.

Maybe we need a “We Love U - we need u!” thread started for Zek too! I was bummed when he decided to leave and even tweeted him about it. He has so much upside and thought he had pro basketball potential, but not after last season at URI. Love his shooting touch and athleticism!
Come back to BU Zek and reclaim that Valley crown! You were a big part of the turaround in the season when you took over at Indy St to beat the Mores and then helped BU to many wins thereafter! U will not be disappointed and neither will we, your fans!
It's rare, but it does happen.
I posted this instance of a player who played for Geno Ford at Stony Brook, then transferred to Miami, then after 1 year transferred back to Stony Brook - https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...586#post518586
How often does a team lose a player to the portal only to gave him come back?
