The MVC is 18-14 so far, but only 8-14 against Division I opponents with no signature wins, yet.
The best quality wins so far are UIC with a home win over Yale (picked # 2 in the Ivy League preseason poll) and Illinois State with a home win over Ohio (picked #1 in the MAC preseason poll)
The MVC is ranked as the 21st best conference in RPI.
I know it's early, but I can't recall the MVC ever ranked that low.

The 2 games tonight could also result in losses, though Bryan Mullins' SIU team did beat Oklahoma State last season in Carbondale-
UNI (2-1) at Wichita State (2-0)
SIU (1-1) at Oklahoma State (2-0)

This will be a historically bad year for the MVC after being gutted by NIL money over the off-season.

Northern Iowa trailed at halftime to Wichita State by 2 points, 32-34. WSU built their lead to much as 14 points late in the 2nd half, but UNI rallied in the final couple minutes to cut the lead to 4 points. SIU trailed at Oklahoma State by only 1 point at halftime, 37-38. But OSU has now pulled out to a 13 point lead (66-53) with 9:31 left in the game. - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401719219

yeah, can't have your best shooters go 1-10, get outrebounded by double digits and send the other team to the FT line 24 times
..and expect to win..
I fear this is gonna be a really down year in the MVC for 3-point shooters. Bradley is doing well so far and we're one of the only teams that has faced a DI defense in each of our games. But the two teams that launch the most 3-pt
attempts (Indiana State 103, 34 per game & Evansville 87, 29 per game) are among the worst shooters in the Valley at 30.8% and 28.7% respectively. (Bradley hitting 42.5%)
Where we need work the most is cleaning up the turnovers.

SIU shot well but had way too many turnovers.
