SIU's Elijah Elliott out for the season

When I watched SIU play College of Charleston in Sioux Falls, Elliott seemed to be their best player, a guard that could move through an opposing defense with ease. His absence is evident as SIU is being blown out by Eastern Kentucky at the half, 48-22, at the time I'm writing this.

That is terrible for Elliott and for the Salukis. He was off to a great start at SIU, averaging a team-leading 16.5 ppg going into Friday's game when he left that game early with the ACL tear. He was also one of their best 3-point shooters and their top free throw shooter.

Strong comeback by SIU to make the loss a respectable one, 77-72. Nagy's been around long enough that he'll make the proper adjustments. This was seen in the second half as adjustments were made during the halftime break.
