Warrior Blogger Defends POB

Is that how you read that?
I wouldn't say the guy defends POB at all in that blog, and in fact he kind of rips him quite a bit
with comments like
"He looked lost from day 1 and never recovered."
"With POB, however, I??™m far less optimistic that it??™s just an age issue. There??™s a big difference between playing under control on offense and looking like you care when you step onto the court."
"The second concern is that O??™Bryant doesn??™t have a long track record of success. He put together a nice run in his final year that lifted his stock, but was by no means a stand-out earlier in his career. As ugly as it is to consider, the late college surge may have been the exception, and last year we may have witnessed the rule."

POB's best chance would be with a different team.

I just posted the same title as Squirrel did on the other board. He may have referring to one of the comment responses in the blog. I should have been more specific.

Squirrel's reference quote said:
We??™ll probably be debating how much of the blame Nelson deserves for POB??™s travails long after he??™s baking cheesecakes for another team.

I have a feeling that Utah won't trade AK47 for POB. AK has a monster contract and that makes him difficult to trade. POB has virtually no value right now except for balancing salaries in a trade. I don't think that AK would fit in the Warrior's system well, but he might be able to play center for Nelson. I'd be really surprised if AK got traded, but stranger things have happened. The Lakers might be a better destination for him, but he's a tough fit with his game and salary.

POB's best bet is to work his butt off this year and go to a new team this offseason. He's a pretty bad fit on GS, but he could still develop and have a decent NBA career. Even mediocre centers can float around the NBA for a long, long time (look at Brian Cardinal and Joel Przybilla).

POB would have been better served as a basketball player if he stayed in college for 4 years just like Tim Duncan. Money talked real loud and now he is in a non desirable situation. One thing is for sure, Nellie will ride him hard and hopefully POB will grow from this. I have a problem when I hear that POB does not fit into the Warriors' system. As a big man coming out of college POB could run. I think the problem with POB is that he was not strong or fit enough for the pros and then throw in the nasty level you need to compete day in and day out, he was out of his league. POB is young and as he matures he will become a good player. The only great player to play in the NBA that did not have a nasty streak was Magic and I could be wrong.
