The judge overseeing the case of the $2.8 billion anti-trust lawsuit against NCAA that was nearing a settlement -
issued an order to all parties to go back and re-negotiate and re-settle the issue of players who will lose their scholarships and be excluded from the cash payouts in this settlement. The parties all worked for months to settle on an agreement that in football only 105 athletes on each team would qualify for cash payouts, but many college football rosters have 120 members. The judge claimed the agreement that took many months to come to, as it stands, is unfair to those athletes.
