USA Today profiles the MVC

Overall, it is a good review, but if Sam Singh isn't motivated to make a splash this year maybe he should get a copy of this. He is not even mentioned.

In what appears to be the best researched and most well done preview I have seen yet, the USA Today has profiles of all 10 teams for this upcoming season. They do not predict any order of finish.--

Not bad, but alas, NO PREDICTIONS!
(except they do predict Dana Altman will suffer "verbal abuse" from other teams' fans
due to his wavering decisions to move to Arkansas this past summer, but I find that
an absolutely ridiculous statement, as Altman is the most respected coach in the Valley hands down!)

It did say SIU was the fav....

They did their homework and were very fair. You can't ask for more! I'm sure they will come out with a prediction article of each conference. It will create more traffic to their site.

I respect him but I can't wait 'til they come to Carver, I'll have all kinds of Razorback presents for him. :)

I agree.I don't think there will be any more than the usual. Heck, half the fans will forget that even happened

I like this part.....

PROGRAM DIRECTION: The Braves busted out of mediocrity in 2006 and 2007. The program enjoys great fan support and should continue to be one of the Valley's top performers. Les has overcome early doubts about his ability. His recruiting seems to be a strong point.

Bradley has had back-to-back 22-win seasons for the first time since 1958-59 and 1959-60.

Crouch, who made 83 three-pointers last season, needs 90 to become the school's career leader.

Why not? He showed great potential last year, and from what I have heard he has been great all summer through opened gyms and now in practice. I personally expect him to break out this year and surprise a few people.

If he's going to be the starting SF, I hope he's been on the Egolf diet and bulked up....perhaps I'm being too literal, but I see him as another SG, not a SF. It might work as a 3 guard lineup, but I don't see him having the inside game or size that an SF needs.

I agree with ya though, he had some pretty good flashes last year, I think he'll take another step forward this year...the question is: how big a step???

Coaches often say that a player improves the most between the freshman and sophomore years... Hopefully that is the case with AW. Cant wait until next Friday!
