Melafusic - What in the World?!

I just noticed this on UIC's athletic website: http://uicflames.cstv.com/ot/melafusic.html

Melafusic is their week long pep rally for the season opener. Looks like they are really trying to get their students fired up for us, this may be more of a trap game the Loyola, especially because it's the first for all our newcomers.

I looked around the site a bit, and I could find nothing about what Melafusic is or means or is a reference to....hopefully their students think it's a stupid name too and pay little attention....

I found the actual definition of Melafusic--
melafusic
me-la-fu-sic [me-la-fu-sik] -noun-
1. to get your butt soundly whipped by the men from Bradley University.
2. the celebration of a weekend where your basketball team is humiliated by the men of Bradley University.
I went to the melafusic and cried.
3. a nonsensical word that was fabricated to distract attention from the butt-whipping that your basketball team has suffered.

I did figure out where melafusic comes from. If you reshuffle the letters in UIC Flames, you get melafusic.
