Bradley at UIC

How many are driving to Chicago to support BU on sat. night? We could use a big crowd as this is an important game and it would be great for the team to see a huge amount of people cheering for them on the road.

I am going with 50 people, 8 or 9 of whom are current students. It is a very easy drive, I encourage as many people as possible to come out.

Me and a couple of friends are going. I have a few friends at UIC and from what they tell me, this is going to be their biggest crowd of the season, and they are promoting the game just about everywhere. I managed to get tickets through a friend as well so I will be sitting in the lower bowl. I'm looking forward to it!

I can verify that, as the Daily Herald (one of the big newspapers up here if you don't know it) had an ad on the bottom of the FRONT PAGE of the Sports section yesterday with a promotion for the game.

What is the predicted outcome of this game? Is BU really their biggest opponent of the year?

I'll be there and am looking forward to a big BU crowd. Its only 2.5 hours lets show our support and take the short drive.

UIC/Bradley

Bradley is likely the 2nd best team we'll play at home this season...most UIC fans should expect Butler to be the best team to come to the Pavilion. However, it's easier to hype up a non-conference team we don't play twice every year, so this will probably be the most heavily attended game (many fans will be Bradley fans)....

However, we're also playing in the Paradise Jam where we have the chance to play Baylor/Charlotte/Georgia Tech/Monmouth/Notre Dame/Wichita State. So, these are quality opponents as well.

As for Depaul, that is definitely a bigger game for us than Bradley...it's inner-city, and they have been reluctant to give us games...although, it's been rumored that our opening game next year will be Depaul at the Pavilion.

Good luck!

I'll be there with some alumni friends. Can't wait! I hope the momentum from yesterday's second half carries over....

Unfortunately I can't afford a drive to chicago, so I will be getting plowed and going to the soccor game instead.

I have had my tickets for a few weeks, but I heard today from several of my old college buddies who live in the Chicago area. They still like to follow Bradley and have returned for a game or 2 every year, including the bad years. They got their tickets and will join the BU contingent at the game. I believe Bradley could have almost as many fans there as UIC.

Make sure you don't embarrass DePaul too much when you play them. Otherwise, they'll find reasons not to schedule anymore like they did for BU (after 3 straight double-digit defeats at the hands of the Braves).

I'll be there with my wife and 4 friends. 2 of the friends are alums, 2 of them are friends from the Chicago area who have never seen Bradley play and aren't fans (yet), but want to see why I constantly talk about them...they'll be wearing red and I plan to make them into die-hard BU fans by the time the game is over!

I bet the Loyola-UIC intracity games are pretty good too...that was cool when the Bailey brothers were squaring off against each other...

Good luck to the Flames after Saturday!!

Vroman Fan...where was Dr. V Sunday?

T,
I'm up here hustling in the Chi' so I can't get down for each and every home game...so the exhibitions don't make the cut. In other words, I wasn't there and I don't know.

I hope all is well with my hero and spiritual mentor...its not unheard of for him to take a much needed and deserved break every now and then. I'm sure he's saving his energy and warm warm glow for the regular season. Or maybe he was in studio putting the finishing touches on the new Band CD. Man I cannot wait for that to "drop" as they say.

Was my main Thug and all 'round PLAYA E. Loring running the show yesterday? He's the heir apparant and up 'n comer but he better be patient 'cause he has years...ney...DECADES to wait 'fore Dr. Dave decides to hang up the old maestro stick my friends.
