Ruffin day-to-day

Sounds like just another lie coming from the Hilltop. :)

By the way...

I want everyone to know that my post is sticking a fork in the local rag and their drive-by media editors... not The Hilltop, Coaches, Staff, etc.

I imagine if Ruffin plays, and plays well... Tuesday's headliner will be how the Day2Day was misleading (on purpose) in their opinion from Bradley only because Bradley has nothing but a bunch of liars.

(insert a roll of the eyes emoticon)

Hey aren't we ALL "day to day".....:) Personally I think we can beat Ohio with or without Mr. Ruffin. I'd say unless he's darn near 100% rest him for the "Thanks Disney we have to go on the road" game where he will be needed much more.

With that said....get well soon DR....

I'm also thinking we can win this game without Ruffin, especially if Warren produces and TCS gives us quality minutes off the bench. I'd look for Jeremy, Sam, and Theron to all play closer to 40 minutes than they did against Cincy.

I know this may not have been stated yet, but the Civic Center is OPEN for the date on Wed the 26th for a Semifinal home game...the Disney crew isn't getting in until the 27th...

So this may get some more ppl excited about a possible victory

I think this has been discussed and if I'm NOT mistaken they need the day before to set up. Again I THINK thats the problem.....anyone?

This is probably one of the dumbest scheduling mistakes I've ever heard of ... how could you possibly book up an arena when the possibility of an NIT or CBI home game could be played on these dates? The dates have been known for quite awhile. I'd be shocked if "Disney" would draw better than a BU game. But the PCC has that right, so whatever. This leads to a bigger question ...

This is multiplied by the fact that maybe BU should have used its collective brain and not ripped up the Fieldhouse before the basketball season ends. You're going to tell me that leaving the seats in an extra week or two would completely throw off the construction schedule? Honestly.

To be forced to play on the road is just plain stupid. Let's hope this is just a one year mistake and never happens again for any BU sport.

The time schedule for tearing down the field house and the target date for opening the new facility is very tight, which is why they wanted to get the seats out. From what I understand, BU "hands over the keys" to the demolition company in April so BU wanted to get out all the stuff that it wanted before the demolition folks came in.

Oh by the way ... check ticketmaster. You can still get close seats on any of the first few days of the "Ice Show." So, they've likely sold 5,000 seats MAX ... which would certainly be less than a BU game.

If BU wasn't "handing over the keys" until April, then they certainly could have waited past the last regular season home game to tear stuff up. You're going to tell me it takes that long to disassemble bleachers? BU doesn't have the manpower to do that? Sounds like a really lame excuse to me...

BU expects to start demolition on or about April 1st on the FLH. There are several contractors that are already getting preparations underway inside. Soon as they are done with the inside stuff, the outside operations can get underway.

So you think several months ago the CC should leave open the the month of March in case the Braves get in to a tourney and get a couple of home games...heck we get two home games now...and they could have easily scheduled events....

They've been doing work on the inside of the building for more than a month now. And no, I don't think BU has the manpower to do that in a week instead of a month.

Considering the quarterfinals for the NIT are on the 25th and 26th, I don't think BU figured on playing another game at Carver after that, which is why the Disney deal is coming to town after that. I'd guess the Disney thing was booked before BU had any thoughts about the possibility of hosting a CBI semifinal game.

This part of your post I complete agree with! How sweet would it have been to send off the Fieldhouse with a men's basketball game!

As for Disney outdrawing Bradley, well they do have multiple shows scheduled and it would most likely affect future Disney bookings if the PCC were to pull the rug out from under them at the last minute and delay their scheduled setup.
