NCAA Regional courts?

Does anyone know why the NCAA spends money creating new courts that look identical for the 4 regional sites? This current color scheme this year was kinda plain. I don't like how all 4 regional sites have the same floor design. I'd rather they let each arena use their regular floor. In addition, am I the only one that thinks this is a waste of money the NCAA could spend in better places? I know they went to the special floor for the Final 4... but that is the final 4 and more understandable. Personally, I like how the 1st and 2nd rounds use the same floor design as normal. It was great seeing the Valley logo and the Creighton floor for games in Omaha.

Completely agreed Scouter.... they also did this for the women's tourney as well for the regional finals..... really a waste of money and you won't be able to recall where the games are played at.....

I think it looks ridiculous, too. Maybe it's because the games are played a different arena than where the host school plays and the court cannot be transferred (a larger arena means more ticket revenue) .

I got another question from the tournament....where the heck did this mythical "Big West" conference come from that had their logo on the floor???

Perhaps they don't want to promote the home cities basketball team. Maybe they have to pay extra sponsorship fees or somethin I dunno.
