Rebound

And that'll do it, havn't seen the stats but I bet we were out rebounded by 20 again. MVP Jordan for sure. They played a close game though and kept it interesting into April.

I really don't think we were out rebounded as badly as you think -- we'll have to wait to see the stats. The real reason we lost was because of our lack of 3-point shooting. Has we have mad just 2 more we probably would have won. Crouch may have had his worst shooting game of his career. TU did a great job of extending their defense to force contested shots. But the bottom line is we just missed way too many open 3's :(

well....I am still very proud of the guys....JC and DR had off nights and we made some bad decisions with the ball tonight...AW and SM had some bright spots along with an opportunity for DC to get bigger and smarter for a strong Sr. season! Thanks to the players for giving the fans something to be proud of!

Yes Big Mike. Very proud of the guys...............Never quit till the end. I particularly enjoyed watching the TU coach celebrate and congratulate his players with 30 seconds left, only to have to sweat and nervously bite his nails for the final 25 seconds as our Braves did us proud and fought to the end.

Outrebounded by 9, but had 1 more offensive board.
Please, all you Kool-Aid drinkers out there, I am just stating a fact, please do not question my "Physical" or "Mental" capacities, but Crouch was 1-14.
Hey I love they guy.

Shooting was the story tonight. Tulsa's defense was part of that, but we just missed a bunch of makeable shots.

I have told many friends and maybe said on this board... it is all about making shots. And we are a good shooting team.
It wasn't about rebounds. It wasn't about fouls.

It was about making shots.

But we didn't make 'em.

End of story.

I love this team - they played hard and played great.

You want to read negatives... then read the local rag tomorrow for the rips on the team.

I have one request, just one. CAN I GET A FREAKIN REBOUND sheesh. This game would be done and over if BU can just rebound.

Jason

I yelled out this same request more than once during the game...it usually wasn't answered. Tulsa had 10 offensive rebounds in the first half...if we rebound at all that half, we're up 15+ and cruise home.

I also predicted with 4 minutes left that Jeremy would make the winning 3 at the end. I was wrong, but figured with him shooting so poorly, he would get one last crack at the end and hit it. If DR makes his wide open 3 with a little over 3 minutes left, we win. We'd have been up 5, and would have been in great shape. Instead they came down and hit a 3 and totally changed the game.

Rebounding was a big problem for this team all year, but I don't think it really hurt us too badly tonight. Tonight was all about the shooting, or lack thereof.

Hopefully more DC next year combined with AT seeing the floor will mean a few more rebounds next season.

Someone should have sent JC into the locker room to wash his hands like he did in the game against Virginia.

I think it was more his legs than anything else. A lot of our jumpshots just looked flat today. I think playing 3 uptempo games in five days just wore on our guys. They didn't let the fact that they were missing shots affect their defense though. I thought it was the best D we played all series regardless of that 2nd half Tulsa run when it seemed like they were making everything.
