The NCAA has investigated more than 40 prep schools that have been suspected of taking shortcuts to graduate kids. It is suspected that Chicago Boys to Men is one of thosed inspected by the NCAA, however, they did not make the initial list of 15 "banned" schools. The NCAA may deny transcripts from the following prep schools--

The schools no longer approved by the N.C.A.A.
American Academy (Miami, Fla.)
Celestial Prep (Philadelphia, Pa.)
Einstein Charter School (Morrisville, Pa.)
Goliath Academy (Miami Lakes, Fla.)
Hawaii Electronic School (Honolulu, Hawaii)
Martinez Adult Education (Martinez, Calif.)
North Atlantic Regional High (Lewiston, Maine)
Paradise Christian Academy (Paradise, Calif.)
Philadelphia Christian Academy (Philadelphia, Pa.)
Ranch Academy (Canton, Texas)
Rich Township HS Phoenix Camp (Park Forest, Ill.)
Sagemount School (Miami, Fla.)
Tazewell City Career and Tech Center (Tazewell, Va.)
University High (Miami, Fla.)
Virginia Beach Central Academy (Virginia Beach, Va.)

I like the sound of "Hawaii Electronic School" - it makes me chuckle to think of someone saying that they play for Hawaii Electronic.

Update- the NCAA has released their second installment of schools that they consider illegitimate and will not accept transcripts from. They also cleared some other schools that appeared in the first list.

Good news-
Boys to Men Academy is not on the list, though the NCAA has said they will continue to review prep schools and more schools will be banned in the future.

Also good news is the last line of this article-
"The NCAA listing is not retroactive, meaning it won't affect any athletes already enrolled in college."

this is an older thread - but a recent NCAA ruling is relevant...

NCAA has ruled that coaches are banned from viewing prospects at
Findlay Prep and Huntington Prep - two schools that have produced dozens of top D-I players from DJ Richardson to OJ Mayo

NCAA also ruled Missouri State's Drew Wilson can play immediately after transferring to ORU
