pob in new york city

I have watched the NBA draft for 25 years. I have never seen a player's college coach at any NBA drafts in the past. I doubt anyone from Bradley would be there. It is a time for the players and their families.

Ya I doubt any of the coaches are there as there is a camp this week, and no, Bobby is not there either.

sorry.didn't realize that coaches attending the draft was taboo. i thought this would be good time to promote bu.

makes sense though, just let the families be there and no coaches. although i thought coach buescher went to nyc with livingston. my mistake.my bad.

Wasn't North Carolina's coach Roy Williams at the draft with his three first rounders last year? I could be wrong but I seem to remember an interview with the four of them at the draft.

Yes he was, but that was a unique situation with four of his players getting drafted.

Coach Al B will be there with Patrick.

why is al b going to be there? i thought he was a high school school now?

I can only assume Patrick wants him there.

I THINK Coach Al B has taken the head coaching position of some small college whose name alludes me at the moment. Can anyone verify this?

I think it's great that Coach Biancalana will be there with Patrick. He was the first person to discover POB, a primary reason he came to BU, and had a great deal to do with Pat's development his freshman year.

Tonight is going to be a great night for Pat and anyone associated with the Bradley program the last 2 seasons.

makes sense, both al b. and pob were great for the bu program.
good point on al b. being interegal part of the recruitment and developement of pob.thought it was ok for a coach to attend.

just saw villanova's head coach getting interviewed at the draft site after randy foye was selected #7 in the draft. nice exposure for their program.

not meant to be. just stating a fact.do you not think it is good exposure for their program? would i have liked jl to be there? yes. i think it would be exposure for the program. that is just my opinion. but maybe jl wasn't even invited. who knows.
but if he was invited and turned down going to nyc because of his basketball camp, i disagree with his decision not to attend the draft.

Maybe Foye had has coach there since he doesnt have his parents around.

good point. what a story. dad dies when he is three. his mom was like 13 or 14 when he was born. she gives him up.

Yes, yes...

But how many parents of other players got interviewed?
(I quit watching after pick #9)

I am guessing none.

My point is... why interview the Villanova coach other than he is someone in the spotlight of a top BCS program which also gives a 'plug' for that school (and conference)? They didn't interview the #1 pik's Dad, did they?
