BU recruit 2013- Harold Givens

That sounds like the level of player that could really help our program. The level of schools he has offers from makes it sound like a long shot though.

According to the Peoria Journal Star, Bradley has offered 6-7 Harold Givens of Quality Education Academy of North Carolina. He is originally fron Georgia.
He already has offers from at least 9 schools in the SEC, ACC, and Big East.

a report says he has narrowed down and only has a couple SEC schools on his list...and will decide very soon

I saw DC's earlier post about deciding between two SEC schools. Does anyone know if we are still actively recruiting Givens?

Anyone heard if we are still looking at Givens...?
He apparently stayed at IMG despite the departure of several players and some hint of upheaval there...but I have not heard a thing on him in a few months.

Harold Givens now lists these seven as his finalists...
Memphis, Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Seattle, DePaul, and Xavier.
..but he also reportedly gave an interview to a Memphis source hinting that Memphis was the favorite..

A tragic event happened in QEA's game Tuesday night...something that ought never happen to a healthy appearing high scholler --
and something that makes me proud that our staff took such caution to be sure our players (Taylor Brown) were thoroughly checked out ...

a 17 year old player collapsed in QEA's game with 4 minutes remaining - he was raced to the hospital, was alive in the ambulance but died before he could be helped at the hospital..
The game was not finished and QEA cancelled their next game as well.

Bradley recruit Harold Givens has left QEA - he had some "issues" and has "reclassified" and a 2014 recruit and had a pretty good summer playing AAU ball.
He will attend Faith Baptist School (Ft. Pierce, FL) and is "looking for new offers as a 2014 graduate."
He played at FIVE-STAR top camp this past month in Florida and was named...
"..top contender for the coveted Most Outstanding Player award."

one site ranks him as a Top 25 recruit nationally

Hope Coach Ford kept his phone number and we're still in on him - same with Mike Tucker.....still available..

Harold Givens is "putting on a show.."

"Givens was getting it

Harold Givens was putting on a show that left some college coaches in attendance
looking for his name in the packet with player??™s information.

The 6-foot-7 forward, who attends Faith Baptist High as a post-graduate,
posterized several opponents with his athleticism. He was easily the most athletic
player in the showcase even among some other solid players. Givens, who played at
Norcross High, also showed a nice mid-range jumper. The Louisiana native
mentioned that Florida International and Louisiana Tech have been in to see him."

former Bradley recruit Harold Givens withdrew his verbal to Florida then changed to Florida International...
when he did not meet qualification requirements he switched and enrolled at New Mexico State like Johnathon Wilkins did & is redshirting this year with hope of playing next year.
He does come up on a directory search as enrolled. LINK
They were able to get Wilkins eligible and he's playing currently so the NMSU people seem to have a way that other schools don't...

One time Bradley recruit Harold Givens redshirted 2014-15 then was injured and only played 5 games in 2015-16...
but now that there's a coaching change, he is leaving and is transferring to Pearl River Community College
