Former Metamora coach Jim Youngman son who is now an 8th grader is ranked 13th in the state of kentucky for everyone but seniors. He has had Michigan State in to see him and Bradley is aware of him. AJ is now ranked #13 in the state of Kentucky for all under classmen regardless of age (that's Juniors & on down) by Scout Rick Bolus out of Louisville.*

Hope his grandparents are still in the area. That might be a big help down the road. Love to see him here ,I've know his dad for years.

Wow I just saw this thread. I have known Jim and his family for years! Looks like AJ will be the typical coach's son type of player! :)

They are a new high school with very players even available for the high school basketball team...and they are already done for the season - knocked out in their own district.
Youngman - an 8th grader - was playing on the high school varsity team and was averaging 20.2 ppg & 7.3 rpg - and will now play AAU ball.....

Does Jim coach and teach at the school. I'm hearing we may have an opening and Jim is a good coach??????

Some video of A.J. Youngman of Thomas Nelson HS in Louisville. He is a 6'4", 200 pound, 14 year old 8th grader, playing on the varisty against some of the best 17 & 18 year olds in the country in Kentucky.
He has a slightly funky "jump" shot, but his game is really impressive-

I have heard that 2017 recruit A. J. Youngman received an offer tonight from Bob Huggins and West Virginia.

Not sure if we are still in on AJ Youngman but there's apparently a little turmoil on his high school team..
One of the players who reportedly "turned in his jersey" is a kid who is getting major national attention...
