Bradley is recruiting 6'2" point guard Marlon Stewart of Davenport West High School. He is a junior (class of 2015). He will be visiting the Bradley campus this weekend on an unofficial visit.

Bradley makes offer official to 6-2 2015 PG Marlon Stewart of North Scott IA. Solid point who can score.

Marlon Stewart spent today at Bradley on an official visit, and left already to return home to Davenport, Iowa.
I have heard the visit went well, and he likes Bradley. He is a 6'3" point guard, something that is a high priority for Bradley in the class of 2015.
Stewart did not scrimmage with our players, because he has a hand injury.

He has offers from Chicago State, Northern Illinois, Green Bay, Northern Colorado, Florida Gulf Coast, Toledo, Florida International, and Bradley.

I am not sure where we stand.

Here is a tweet from a recruiting guy who says there was an open gym session held last night for Marlon Stewart, I assume at his high school, and Bradley was not one of the schools there.

2015 PG Marlon Stewart (@marlonstew10)had Creighton, Wichita State, Dayton, Bowling Green,&Northern Illinois in last night to watch open gym

But in this new article, he says he is still considering Bradley. But he is getting a lot of new interest from schools like Creighton and Wichita State.
He will visit Creighton this weekend.

Prep Hoops Iowa is reporting that
"North Scott's Marlon Stewart wants to make a college choice soon.."

also he had Wichita State in to see him and has an official visit set to Creighton
BU's chances are still strong but not as strong as just a week ago with Creighton & Wichita now in the picture...

it is being widely reported that today while Marlon Stewart was on his visit to Creighton - he received an offer ...this is gonna make it a bit harder.......
Now I wonder with his offers still coming - will he wait and not sign soon....we need to sign one of our top targets this fall...seems we never cash in on fall commits.
This is the 5th fall recruiting cycle for Geno (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and now 2015 (although we have no nibbles yet for '15) - a dozen or more commits) and everyone he's ever locked in on with a fall commit was a ineffective, a bench player at most, untested yet, or already long gone except for Tyshon Pickett.
...and it won't get any easier if we have a disappointing season as recruits will look at the possibility of more turnover in staff...

Stewart has committed to Creighton. Tough loss on this one since the Bluejays got in late.

yeah - but recruits can clearly see the difference if given the chance to choose between a Top 40 program vs. an RPI 250 program...
In the end, there is a reason we missed out on him.

I ran across a couple stories mentioning BU recruit Marlon Stewart....who chose Creighton over Bradley

His North Scott team is 8-3 and Stewart is closing in on 1000 points in his HS career - and is roughly tied with another BU recruit, Brady Ernst

Ernst is having a better year, thus far and has zoomed past Stewart in the statewide rankings....
I sure hope Bradley is in on Brady Ernst!!!

Here are the rankings per IowaPreps for the top players in the STATE
1. Brady Ernst, 6-9 F, Clinton (17.6 ppg, 15.6 rpg) - LINK
2. Michael Jacobson, F, Waukee -
3. Marlon Stewart, G, North Scott (2nd leading scorer on his team, 15 ppg, 4 apg)
4. Cortez Seales, G, North Scott (leading scorer on North Scott, 19.2 ppg)
5. Spencer Haldeman, G, West Dubuque

Bradley recruited Marlon Stewart - and had he come to BU- and stayed thru the changeover- he may have fit right in ...and been getting PT
So far at Creighton he's battled injury & been so deep in the rotation it's hard to tell how good he might be..
In Creighton's first four games- a couple of which have been huge blowouts, he's gotten only two minutes total of playing time...which really surprised Creighton fans last night - since they expected him to redshirt.
