BU recruit Chris Palombizio is taking an unofficial visit this weekend to Northern Kentucky.

I hope Bradley is keeping in contact with Chris Palombizio from Indiana. Now that two more of Coach Wardles recruits(Navigoto, Hillsman) are off the boards , we need a player of his caliber. Didn't understand why he would go to prep school for a year to wait for an open scholarship?. Someone bigger offered him a scholarship if he could wait a year?. He would be a nice get for Bradley, although a little small at only 6'5".A very fundamentally sound kid. He rebounds, shoots the ball really well and plays some "D". It would be nice to have 2 Indiana Large School All State basketball players on our team. Take Joel Okafor along on the recruiting trip to convince Chris to sign with us.

I know Bradley was recruiting him, did we ever offer? I really do like the kid, but if James signs today ( I hope). we really don't need a 6'5 kid.

That worked to our advantage with Nate Navigato. We picked up a 6'8" "total package" in Luuk van Bree instead. Like i said before, watch Coach Wardle pull another 6'8" rabbit out of his hat. Hope it is James or Doby. Why can't we get all our commits on the top page with the others? Not signed or admitted yet?

One-time BU recruit Chris Palombizio has decided to spurn an offer from Western Michigan and a couple other D1 schools, and do a year of prep school to try to strengthen his skills in hope of other offers, and a better chance to play right away at the D1 level.
He will attend Don Bosco Prep school in New Jersey, which he chose over several other prep schools that were recruiting him.

former BU recruit Chris Palombizio re-classified as 2016 & was doing an extra year of prep school at Don Bosco Prep...and signed with Oakland in November...

but he has now left prep school and enrolled early at Oakland so he can begin working out with the team...
He will not play this year and will not lose a year of eligibility for enrolling just for the spring semester at Oakland.

Chris Palombizio is the son of Dan Palombizio - former Mr. Basketball in Indiana -- where the NWTimes newspaper just did a WHERE ARE THEY NOW feature about Dan on Tuesday.
Oddly - Dan regrets his college decision - he was offered by Indiana but chose Purdue then transferred to Ball State.
"Palombizio, who was also a prep All-American, said he has one regret in life.

"I should have committed and signed with Indiana," Palombizio said. "I made a mistake. Indiana won the (1981) national championship
and they wanted to redshirt me. I was Mr. Basketball and didn't want to redshirt. I wanted to play right away."
