BU recruit- 2017 juco- Vance Johnson

I Agree

I Agree

Gimmie 2 guys like this for next yr and yr after. I wish the best for whoever has to go and I trust we will set them up for success. Let's make a huge jump next season!

I sure agree with you. I'd like 3 big, athletic, quick, bulky scorers and rebounders. More Donte's. That would help Donte play better and also our swing men and guards will get more good looks. It will help Childs develop too.

Coach Wardle knows best what we need and I am sure that he will find the right players. If we could get another 2 Donte's, I'd be happy. Donte made a huge leap forward this year on and off the court. He played like an animal. I first noticed it at the Loyola game. He came to play! He stood out. We need a few guys who aren't afraid to mix it up and still play within the rules. If defenses concentrate on stopping the bigs, our smaller guys will get good looks.

Easy to ask for, hard to obtain. As we play better and win more, we should be more attractive year after year to good players considering to Bradley. 2nd recruiting year was an improvement and the 3rd will be even better.

GO BRAVES!

..
Nate Hansen, a 6-4 soph at Vincennes continues to hit nearly 42% from the arc
In a game that's currently going on in the NJCAA Regionals...
Nate Hansen of Vincennes is lighting it up from beyond the arc...
..don't have the official stats but he reportedly has 24, mostly long distance (at least 6 made 3-pointers) as Vincennes leads Lake Land in the final minutes...

This season he has been averaging 16.1 ppg, 42.1% from 3-pt on 6.5 attempts per game, but also 4 assists per game and an 80% FT shooter
He is uncommitted with just one DI offer (Northern KY)

edit-- Vincennes beats Lake Land 82-81
Final stats (unofficial) Nate Hansen had 24 with 6 3's, and their other star Chris Darrington had 21 pts, while former Evansville commit 7-footer Dainus Chatkevicius had 8 pts
....and for Lake Land - Josh Robinson had 30 pts. and Lake Land cleaned up at the FT line 28/35 but it wasn't enough to overcome the 3-pt barrage of Vincennes.
That ends the season for Lake land's William Tinsley - ISU signee - no mention of his scoring totals, will have to wait for the official stats.
I listened to the online stream of the radio broadcast...and the announcer said
.."there's a ton of four-year college recruiters here"...so I wonder if any of our staff were there..

official stats show Nate Hansen had 24

ISU recruit William Tinsley was only 1-7 from the arc and had 8 pts/6 reb/zero asst

in the last month since it was first mentioned that Bradley was watching Vance Johnson, there has been no further report anywhere that I have seen that we are still on him and no report that we have offered..
In the meantime, over that span he has gotten no further offers from anyone else but did take a visit to UW-M, the only school reported previously to have offered,

He also has since played four games with his team (Northeast CC) going 1-3 and Vance Johnson averaging 10 ppg & 9 rpg.

Vance Johnson and Northeast Community College have been eliminated in their Regionals and their season is over.
Vance Johnson was named All-Region 2nd Team

Still no further mention whether Bradley is still involved

one guy to maybe keep an eye on - juco freshman, 6-8 Ivan Aurrecoechea from Indian Hills - was 1st Team
..he's a guy, like Luuk van Bree, from Canarias Academy - that's routinely put up double doubles and averaged 10 ppg, 10 rpg as a juco freshman
He had 16 pts/13 rebs in the Regional Championship game last night, and 20/13 the game before!
He is a Class of 2018 recruit.

Tinsley was up over 50% from the 3-pt arc the 1st half of the season...
then came an incident for which he was suspended 4 games and after which he never regained his starting spot.
Lake Land finished the season 14-18, with several of their opponents being DII juco teams (Parkland, ICC, Ellsworth, North Iowa Area, John Wood, Rend Lake, etc..).
His production seemed to suffer and altho he had some good games, his numbers dropped and by season's end he was averaging 13.7 ppg on 39.5% from the arc.
I have been impressed that ISU does hit a good percentage of their 3-pointers, it is a big part of their game...they are hoping Tinsley can continue their success in that area.

internet recruiting site says...
"6'9 F Vance Johnson (Northeast CC) hearing from Evansville, Bradley,
Southern IL, Milwaukee & Green Bay. Averaged 13.6 pts, 9 rebs this year"

"hearing from"?
