We're not good enough to punt away games yet, and we won't. BU by 10.
 
Isn't every game against Missouri State a trap game? They're never as good against the rest of the league as they are against us ... it's really a strange thing I've noticed since I've been following the Braves ...
 
No way this is a trap game. People here seem to think we'll run the table (or close to it) up to the MVC Tourney... :roll:

I think we should immediately contact Wango (for SPI insiders) and get his take on the outcome of the game. If he thinks it's a trap game, it probably isn't.....and vice versa!! :) ;)

I may be overconfident and arrogant.

But with Ruffin back, I think we're at least a clear #2 in this league.

We are good enough to run the table. I honestly think this.

We've had a NCAA and an NIT in the last 2 years. Let's act like it and expect greatness.
It's no longer sufficient enough to linger in the top half of the standings.

pooints 2,3 and 4...yes..yes...and yes... If we take the same apporach of taking one game at a time which we have clearly done since Ruff's return, then we can get to the number 2 spot for the tournament. Our margin of error is too fine this year to do anything different.
 
Definition of a "trap game" does not apply here

A Trap game is when you overlook an weaker oponent when the game prior and the game after are both against a strong oponent. The previous games were vs Evansville, vs Indiana State, vs Wichita State. Missouri State is the strongest of this quartet (maybe the same quality as Indiana St) so there should be no overlooking.

At Indiana St is a trap game (between Illinois State and Creighton)

Or in the past, at home against Evansville (between games vs Drake and Illinois State) is a trap game that BU survived.... barely.

For the record I don't buy the notion we are going to run the table either. Could we...I suppose...will we....we'll see but don't anticipate it.

As far as the trap game.....I don't think it will happen but this is the perfect scenario. Looking ahead to ISU with 2nd a possibility and a team chalked with newbies. A team you SHOULD beat that comes in with NOTHING to lose and some motivation.

With that said I don't think JL or DR lets anyone NOT stay focused.
 
We haven't beaten these guys in two years, this isn't a trap game, the guys know they'll have to play well to win, and they will!
