Jim Les will be a guest on David Kaplan's Sports Central radio show tonight on WGN radio AM 720. He is scheduled to appear at about 8:35 pm.

WGN is out of Chicago, has a 50,000 watt transmitter, and can easily be heard with any radio in the Peoria area.

For fans outside the area, you can tune into the station by clicking on this link, then click on the "Listen Now" link in the upper left portion of the screen. They also appear to have audio archives of the show.

Concerning WGN, I watched their noon news yesterday and was disappointed that even though they gave college basketball scores, they didn't tell about the Bradley upset of the 15th rated team in the country.

I missed the interview, what did Coach have to say?

They talked in general about how Bradley's season has gone, and what has changed to cause Bradley's turnaround.

David Kaplan, the host of the show, does play-by-play and color announcer work for Comcast and ESPN, and he will do the Bradley-Wisconsin-Milwaukee game Saturday. They talked a while about that game. Kaplan and Les know each other from 1988 when they were both associated with a CBA franchise.

That's about it.

Kaplan is really well liked here in Chicago. It's pretty cool that he's getting a chance to do a BU game. Having listened to him a ton of times, I feel like he was trying to be a little more cautious in his words because he'll be covering in the game. Other times when he has had Les on, it's like two buddies back just talking over a couple brews.

Something I've noticed that others probably don't is how intelligent of an interview Coach Les is, depending on the intended audience. He will take a broader view and take more time to explain about the team when the people listening may not know as much about BU. He truly represents the University well.

670, which usually gives UIUC ISU and SIU scores (and the Chicago area teams, too) also did not mention the Bradley upset in the one score update I heard.
