Jim Les radio show tonight on WMBD 1470

Personally, I was encouraged by the tone that coach Les used during his description of where they are at with the DR situation. To me he sounded upbeat and excited compared to the postgame on saturday night.
 
I just registered today, and am very happy to see how the comments go here. I really found it funny how you all knew people would be calling in with recruit questions. It dominates most of the calls and is pointless knowing the rules of the ncaa.

I just don't understand it.

I guess some people JUST DON'T KNOW. And they don't listen enough. And they want their 30 secs of airtime.

Snell needs to stop being so polite about it... he needs to "point blank" people. He also needs to announce it every time he plugs the phone number to take calls.

Tomorrow night will probably be one of Ruffs toughest nights on the "court". He knows some people, especially the women at the game, are not going to like him being there. I imagine he'll issue some type of apology to the fans. I know i'll be up and applauding, the first step is to forgive the sin, thats if he sinned in the first place. Even DQ's parents forgave everyone involved and that, and at least one of them spoke at his funeral.

I know some have said they won't applaude DR tomorrow night. Hard to believe DR may get the "cold shoulder" in his home town.... but isn't it funny in a sad way knowing Jamar Smith will get a HUGE reception and standing O next year.

I'm not turning my back on Danny!

The coach cannot comment on matters of recruiting unless it is a recruit who has signed a Letter of Intent.

Speaking of that, when Dave mentioned on his radio show that if people wanted to find out information they could easily find it, I thought he was going to plug BradleyFans but he didn't say anything else, we need to get him to throw us a bone. :)

I understand why the University wants to distance itself from a site like this. Plainly... how in the world could they be held accountable for the crap people say without policing/governing it themselves. They just won't.

But when do the two finally meet?

There is reporting from radio and newspapers... which they can't police/govern. And you see their name connected to the University.

So it is advertising.

And the best advertising is WORD OF MOUTH!

I tell people all the time. And it amazes me how public perception (outside of the internet arena) believes message boards are worse than the drive-by media with un-founded statements. This is a FORUM. DISCUSSION.

Somehow - someday... they will figure it out.

With that... I will be wearing a BradleyFans.com t-shirt at McGurk's in St Louis. ;)

I know what you mean Mob. I would rather have Snell read emails from this site than answer those phone calls. Tonight, I came very close to throwing my radio across the room after the first recruiting question. Then I got a phone call and all was ok.:cool:
 
Why didn't they announce the verbal on the show?They can do that they just can't talk about what kind of player he is.

It seemed like Dave was starting to get frustrated too. I mean Coach takes time to do the show for the fans and these people repeatedly call in and ask about recruiting. Is this because there is no producer there to screen calls? I came close to turning off the show tonight as well.

Schools try to maintain their integrity by not officially putting out a press release about recruiting commitments, but most of the time, the news does come from the schools. I suspect usually a back-door leak to a beat writer occurs.

We are still waiting for our call here at the International Headquarters of BradleyFans.com . :o

I think the NCAA rule allows a coach to give only a yes or no answer to a question about whether he knows about a kid, or is recruiting him, but that is all they are allowed to say. If he confirmed that Dunson committed, he would technically be breaking the rule. This staff goes out of it's way not to rile the NCAA Gods.

You need to get closer to Bobby Parker (and KK). He (they) needs to understand the positive intent THIS board has.

I know you have tried.... just me wishing.
