Great game Bradley Braves

I am a little disappointed that Bradley couldn't pull off the upset, but what a great game. There were a dozen points in that game where it would have been easy just to give up, or not expend the maximum effort, and coast.
But not a single Brave player did that. I am proud of the guys, and I strongly believe they have proven to themselves and their fans that they are capable of winning it all in St. Louis.

Thanks for the great effort, Braves.

Well said, Da coach.

No one likes to lose, but our guys got guts and mental/physical toughness. We just haven't quite got that bit of luck that sometimes comes with a "charmed season" (Drake)

Not our players fault, its the REFS fault.

How do you figure? We had a shot to win at the end of regulation and in both overtimes. BU has no one to blame but themselves for not finishing the job. Their defense was about as bad as it gets on Whitter. The effort is always there with this group, but these losses don't get any easier to take. This one stings a lot.

yeah, but we still should have won. We have to know we aren't going to get the calls on the road.

On another note, Anyone hear what the attendance was at Quest? If this has already been discussed I apoligize.

I am guessing that the Valley's total average home game attendance for our conference will be an all time high putting us in 5th place. Above PAC10 and MWC.

If this game did anything, it got me more excited for STL!

What a game I had to go to bed before posting (not like I could sleep). This, if there is such a thing, is a good loss. We know that we can beat Creighton, but as it has been stated many times on here. You cannot beat a team 3 times in one year. Therefore, I am EXPECTING a big BU win next Friday in the 1st round of Arch Madness. Go BU!

The Braves will be a rested team......and with that there is no team they should fear....they proved they can play with anybody and its evident....JC and DR are not ready to hang em up yet!

BU will be rested and you can bet they will be double teaming Whitter down in STL lol. I have no clue how you go from no points in Peoria to 42 points at Creighton, just mind boggling. Course everyone was hot last night except for TCS. 3 for 16 his last 2 games, yikes.

We don't need to double team Witter. If we do double-team him, we're going to lose. If he scored ZERO in one game against us and only averages 8 ppg, he does NOT command a double-team. To allow a guy like that to score 42 points is absolutely unacceptable. Even the slightest bit of effort to step out on a ball screen and BU wins that game. Great effort, yes. Great execution, no. One of the more frustrating defensive games I have ever witnessed.

This season has been such a roller-coaster that I have chilled out with regard to W's and L's for the last several games of the season. Last night's game was hugely entertaining, despite the L.

Now that the tournament is upon us, I'll go back to caring the W/L outcome. :)

The refs didn't shoot the ball with so much time left on the clock and the lead, the refs didn't blow layup after layup, the refs didn't give up three point plays when they shouldn't have been fouling to begin with, etc. I used to think that way when I was in high school. We never lost that it wasn't the refs fault. I grew out of that.

I think the refs called a pretty good game, though I do think one awful call by the refs caused the 2nd overtime... So, it was a critical, and bad call.

It was a fantastic effort by the team, very proud of them. It was also a great game to watch, even if it was on the gocreighton webfeed. Hehe. Wish more people would have had a chance to catch it on ESPN or FSMW or the like.

Yes, I agree! Great effort Braves!

I will be recording the game while I'm at work on Friday, and I will watch it after I get home. Therefore, no one can tell me the score until around 8 PM! :D

That really was a great game, I'm so glad I ponied up the money to watch it. I know we lost but I feel like last night's game will give us the confidence we need to win on Friday.

Yeah, I hate to see people blaming the refs all the time, especially in a one point loss. All we needed to do was make one more shot and no one would be talking about the refs.

I agree and if we would have played consistantly for 40 minutes we would have won in regulation. I hope that we do not get stuck on a number for the 120 minutes needed in St. Louis!

Dave's article did say this was the closest game in MVC history !!!!
(I'm guessing it was because of the <1% difference between final scores. obviously not the longest..)
