We have long stretches where we only play one big at the center position. Our starter there is Matt Salley, a 6'7 post player. Decent defender on the ball, but if he gets backed down by a bigger player there isn't much he can do. He plays hard, but is limited especially at center in my opinion. Other than him we are now getting a lot of minutes from a JUCO junior named Rashad Austin. He's no taller than Salley, but quite a bit stronger, and has a bigger body. I think he's also a little more athletic, and every once in a while we see both on the floor at the same time. Problem is foul trouble, so many of our minutes at the 4 position are played by Theron Wilson, who's a (generous) 6'5 small forward. Theron's a very good athlete and excellent player, so he does his best, but is very undersized in the paint.
Guard-wise, Bradley is very strong, though we've had some injury problems. Daniel Ruffin is a 5'10 senior point guard, who early in the season was making top 5 lists nationally, but missed 9 games (I think it was 9) in the middle of the season with a sports hernia. He's extremely quick, a very good shooter, and an excellent ball-handler. Jeremy Crouch is a 6'5 senior shooting guard. He's deadly from the 3 and has set all of our school records in that category (last year tied for national lead at 50% 3 pt pct). Andrew Warren is usually the other starter but he broke his hand several weeks ago and missed the end of our season. This game might be his first back as he's returned to full practice now. Andrew's a 6'6 sophomore shooting guard who's very long and a matchup problem when he drives or shoots. Something about his jumper seems to mean he gets fouled a lot when taking 3pt shots. The other guard who plays a lot of minutes is Sam Maniscalco, a 6' freshman point guard. He's a good young player who has some good offensive skills, has developed his D, and plays very smart for the most part.
