A couple of the largest riots at Michigan State occurred after losses in the Final Four--
3/27/99- after a loss to Duke in the semifinals, estimates of up to 10,000 students and non-students rioted and vandalized around the campus
4/2/05- after a loss to North Carolina in the Final Four

It sounds like the Cedar Fest is just another excuse for them to riot.
