The Sporting News' Mike DeCourcy isn't thrilled about the hiring of Travis Ford by Oklahoma State. He points out that he is the 6th best coach in the Atlantic 10, has a career .565 winning percentage, and has only made the NCAA tournament 1 time in 8 seasons as a head coach. Barry Hinson got fired for similar numbers, and Travis Ford gets a multimillion dollar contract.

Pretty boy................Pedigree.........................Great program (UK).............Connections..............Sad, but that's what drives America today. :(

How many NCAA appearances did Drake have that swayed the Providence people into hiring him?

Take the money and run-it might not be there next year-we never blamed POB for taking the money and I can't blame Keno or anyone else although I beleive if KD stays w/ that offense and defense he ran last year he will be successful-may take a year or 2 but most changes take that long

money

money

I think coach Mo made a mistake after the 96 season!!NCAA appearance then an offer to go to St John's and passed it up...I think Keno made the right decision based on money only it may never be there again...He has been an assistant a long time!! Now look at Mo after all he has been thru, finally has a head coaching job for a lot less money..

You're right. It turned out bad for St. John's as well. That program is a complete disaster right now and Coach Mo would have never let it get to this state.
