Tiger Woods should become the first billion-dollar athlete for lifetime earnings sometime in the next 2 years.

($800 million in on and off the course earnings over his 13 year career)

who really knows for sure, but I have read that with all his other enterprises, Michael Jordan has certainly already passed the billion dollar level, although much of his earnings were from endorsements and other sources outside of his athletic earnings.

I was wondering about Jordan when I read that as well T. Also very surprised to see Jim Furyk on the list at #49.

Jordan made $31 million in '06 according to Forbes Magazine's Celebrity 100. I'm guessing he's still making about that amount. My conclusion is SI does not consider him a jock anymore.
