Summer League

This might not be of much interest to most people, but you don't see it very often.
Lots of college players are playing in various summer leagues. Our guys used
to play at the RiverPlex, and the Drake and UNI guys play in the Prime Time
League and Capital City League.
Some argue those summer leagues don't do the players much good, as they
are not well coached and defense is absent.

Well, a lot of Tennessee, Memphis, and other college players play in a League
known as the Rocky Top League.
One of the players (University of Tennessee's) Wayne Chism was told by his
players/coach and a teammate to "pick up his game", or try a little harder.
He didn't like being told what to do, so he walked out, abandoning
his team right in the middle of the summer league game.
"Maybe someone just touched a nerve..."

There is an interesting rumor, we'll have to wait to see how it plays out.
Wayne Chism would have been one of Bruce pearl's 2 or 3 best returning players
but now it appears he may be transferring to Memphis.

Memphis might be without one of their best incoming recruits, Angel Garcia, as word has it Garcia isn't close to obtaining a qualifying test score.

One other hot rumor, Armon Bassett (kicked out at Indiana) and Stanley Robinson (transferring from UConn) are both rumored to be headed to UAB, which will make them really strong in a couple years when they get their 5-star recruit DeMarcus Cousins.

Armon was originally recruited to IU by UAB's Mike Davis, so this move makes sense.
