New Season Tickets

Quick question for anyone in the know. I applied for a set of season tickets for the first time this year, and I see that my credit card was charged for the tickets late last week or earlier this week. Just curious when they are going to call me and let me know where the tickets are at and all that. I actually put in a request to hopefully get next to a friend of mine who also put in for new tickets, so I'm really wondering if we got tickets together or how the whole process works.
 
You should be able to call them now and find out. I doubt they will contact you until they snail mail you it's time to pick them up.
 
I put in for a "change of seat request" for this season and I called 2 weeks ago about when I would be contacted to come in and pick a new seat. Ticket Office said that July 15th was the deadline for Season ticket Renewal and then seat change requests would be honored the last week of July or so, which happens to be right about now. She said that I would be contacted on when to come in and pick my new seat. As far as picking up the actual envelope of season tickets, that isn't until October if I remember right.

Jason, I have switched seats recently. BU NEVER did contact me regarding my request. I had to go in on my own. I suggest you do the same especially with all the facilitiy changes.
 
Majik, I would get in touch with the ticket manager and ask about your ticket request now so you get to sit with your friends.
 
IMO just be patient. You will know in plenty of time. I've changed seats twice since the Civic Center opened and never had a problem with the administration.
 
Okay, so Me and 3 other people had season tickets last year together for the first time(I've had Season Tix for about 10 yrs, just not with this group) and we did not pay the fee to keep our same tickets this year because we would like to move, plus add someone else to our group. Called the ticket office today and was informed that we had to fill out a season ticket application with a 100 dollar deposit, I pulled the application off the internet and it doesn't allow for the customer to "pick" specific seats, only priority levels.

Now in the past, even last year, I've always just physically gone up to the ticket office, looked at the big seating charts on the books where they fill out who has what seat already taken, and picked seats from there, without going through any application process. Is this on par with what other people have done this year? Has anyone actually gone to the ticket office and specifically picked their seats from what's available, or has everyone been filling out the application.

Any info appreciated. Thanks guys.
 
When I changed seats I had to go into the office and pick out the actual seats. I didn't change priority.

Was that for next season Mike? That's what I did last year, but the guy on the phone this morning indicated that we had to fill out this application for next season.

I talked to the ticket office today about this matter of seating changes. They said the changes or done starting with the ticketholders who have the highest priority on down. They said not to call the ticket office, they will call you.
 
I called the ticket office today, and I think they were just starting to go through seat change requests. Once those were done they would call those with new season tickets like myself. They had me down for Season tickets, but no seats assigned yet, so I was just jumping the gun earlier.

It was for last year. And yeah they say to wait, but after awhile it is best to go in yourself. I'm speaking from my own experience. And all I did was request to move back a little as the lower seats in the lower bowl were bothering my knees. I moved back 5 rows, but am still in the lower bowl with much more room.
 
Reference Dubl R1, all the season ticket holders had to fill out a renewal form and if you didn't have that in by July 15th then you have to fill out a new season ticket member application. After they are done with the "change of seat" requests for season ticket members then you should be allowed to pick from whatever is left over. I'm assuming that is what is goin on with you.

Thanks for the info guys. I think last year I had just waited longer in the year before I contacted the BU ticket office, so I bet they had already gone thru the seat change requests. That's probably why I was able to go right in and pick from the available seats.
 
Went to the ticket office yesterday at Shea Stadium, filled out the season ticket application, and the guy at the window said that they will NOT be calling people to come in and pick their seats this year. You can only designate a priiority level, and then BU picks your seats for you. There is a request section on the application that he said they will consider, but people will not be able to come in and look at the charts and pick from the available seats this year. That's a bummer.:(
 
What the heck, these ticket people need to get there act together lol. Looks like i'll be calling again tomorrow and see what answer I get this time. The whole point of a "change of seat request" is to pick another seat that you want. I got to pick my seat in the first place, why wouldn't I be able to pick again?

yeah, looks like your right Dubl. I just called the ticket office and the guy said that your seat change will be considered but it all depends on how much you donate. If you are picked to a seat change then they will call you with a couple seat options but you can't come in and pick a new seat location. My assumption was that all "seat change requests" would be processed based on donation amount and you would go in and pick a new seat from whats available. That's what the season ticket renewal application makes it sound like. They need to outline these things better or else I wouldn't of even bothered with the seat change thing as i'm at the bottom of the rung on donations.

Well, they called and left a message at my home phone today and said my new season tickets had been processed and gave me the location of the seats. I'm thinking the seats might be in a higher priority level then I marked was acceptable, although it might have had to do with the fact that I wanted to be by a friend who also put in for tickets. I waiting to hear if he heard anything today about where his seats were at. I'm guessing they should be going through the list fairly quickly as I did not put in for new season tickets until about the 4th of July if not later.
