Anybody have any idea what D. Ruff is up to for the coming year? I remember hearing that he had a couple of European offers he was deciding between but haven't heard anything.

Yes, I have had it with the PJ Star. Count me as another subscriber who is cancelling . From now on, I will get my news from other sources on the internet. It's more timely, and usually more complete and accurate anyway.

I don't understand any logical reason the writer of that short article about Daniel Ruffin signing with the German pro team had to include another reference to his arrest. The article itself appears to have been taken directly from the posts on this board yesterday about Daniel, but to try to make it look like they did their own independent research, they added the rehash of the arrest story. For what reason? Do they report all past arrests and illegal behavior of everyone else they report on in the sports section? No!

If they are going to constantly do that, then it's only fair that in the biographies of their own writers, they should be obligated to report any of them who have ever been arrested, had DUIs, or other legal issues.
OK PJ Star guys, where is your own police record?

After probably 30 plus years I canceled my subscription 2 years ago, I don't miss it one bit.

But be aware, when you cancel they will put the hard sell on you via phone calls etc.

Sadly, although this entire story about Daniel Ruffin is nothing but GOOD NEWS,
the story in the PJS feels compelled to drag up the issues from last spring and
douse the good news with the reference to the negatives from last season.
Nice job PJS, keeping a long legacy of never saying anything good about a BU player without taking a swipe.

Wow. You're right. That one-liner about his legal issues REALLY sounds random and out of place, like they just HAD to put it in there for some unknown reasons.

Going on a trip that will take me pretty close to Kaiserslautern, but I'll be through there about 2 weeks before their first game it looks like. Would've been fun to catch a game.

In either case, well done DR!
