HDMI cable
Component cables (x2)

Many A/V cables

Lol, i delivered and installed TV's for a few years a circuit city

Use an HDMI cable, go from the cable box to the tv.

Run an audio cable from the tv to the ss receiver.

run the dvd player into the input (usually there is one labeled dvd) on the receiver, and then run video cables (component video) out of the receiver into the tv.

Run the Wii into the receiver (into a component or axillary labeled one) do the same thing for the vcr.

Run the cd player directly into the receiver.

If you need more detailed instructions, pm me.

Thanks for the quick reply and what should amount to a lot of help! I won't be home until much later tonight, but I'll let you know how it works out in the morning.

BU_EMT will not be around until tomorrow evening. Does anyone else have any ideas that might help? I'm at work now and won't be able to try anything until late tonight, but any help is greatly appreciated.

Here's what I have right now:

Cable from the wall, into the cable box

HDMI from cable box, into television

DVD player/recorder S-Video OUT, into ss-receiver DVR/VCR IN
DVD player/recorder Audio OUT, into ss-receiver DVR/VCR IN

ss-receiver component video Monitor OUT, into television Component-1

television Audio OUT, into ss-receiver TV-SAT Audio IN

Wii into ss-receiver DVD/LD IN

CD player into ss-receiver CD IN

Here are the issues I'm having:

television: works fine with TV Source on HDMI-1 and ss-receiver on TV/SAT

DVD player/recorder: no video; audio works fine with ss-receiver on DVR/VCR

Wii: no video; audio works fine with ss-receiver on DVD/LD

CD player: works fine with ss-receiver on CD

I have not attempted recording to my dvd player/recorder and haven't done anything with the VCR at this point.

Fixed:

DVD player/recorder S-Video OUT, into television AV1 S-Video IN
DVD player/recorder Audio OUT, into ss-receiver DVR/VCR IN

Wii into television AV1 A/V IN

DVD player/recorder: works fine with TV Source on S-Video1 and ss-receiver on DVR/VCR

Wii: works fine with TV Source on Composite-1 and ss-receiver on TV/SAT
