Pick-em for UIC game

This is not a very good match-up for BU. UIC is deep and big in the front court and have experienced guards. I think the size difference is the key...

Remember this is a promotional night- a White-Out. Free tee shirts to everyone. I think that will boost the attendance to 9980. Not bad for the first non-conference game.
 
Rick--- remember last year, when Tyrone Cole-Scott scored 36 in an exhibition, then some (myself included) made the grave error concluding that's the way it was going to be the whole season?

Well, this year, Bradley played an exhibition, used multiple different combinations of players,
shuttling in and out frequently, and lost the game, even though when the starters
were re-inserted (with about 5 min. left) and BU behind by 13, they outplayed UW-P to get us back to within 5 but time ran out.

as per last year, some have made the grave error concluding that's the way it is going to be the whole season?

(in fact, over the final 6:53, BU outscored UW-P 19-10, and
also the "starters" jumped out to an 11-5 lead in the first 5 minutes of the 1st
half (before we began with exhibition-caliber-subs) and also outscored UW-P 11-7 in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half...so
as per the other exhibition, if you look at the times when the starters were in
there as a unit, BU outscored UW-P over those minutes, 41-22)

We have went from people talking about BU winning the MVC to the biggest BU fan ever picking them to go down to UIC on our home court!!!! What a difference one bad game makes.

I am definitely not turning negative, mex!

But I have been accused of being to supportive, and too much of a kool-aid drinker. So I am taking a low-key approach here. Like some people suggest, let's not be too optimistic, let's not put too much pressure on the players, which might cause them to fail. By picking them to lose, I can't be disappointed, and nobody can blame me if the fail.:D

Well the only thing I was right about was that we would win. I didn't read anyone's guess but you're right we were close. :mrgreen:
