Looks like Richmond likes to launch a lot of 3s. I think the announcers said they were 7/12 in the 1st half, but they ended the night 8/24. Only one 3-pointer in the 2nd half!
 
Hopefully we can sweep evansville, ISUblue, UNI, and MSU(iffy), and maybe WSU. If we can do that and win half our other home games we will be in great shape, with a blowup loss in there for good measure.
 
Why was Davidson on the road for the NIT? There are a few teams out there that should have been seeded lower and on the road.

Curry had another great game!
 
I was really impressed with North Carolina. It looks like Kentucky will have another up and down year, but wow can Carolina fly. I really felt like no team could be as good as they were being hyped to be this early in the season but even without Hansborough they looked good tonight.

Here is one more of interest-
VMI, which upset Kentucky in Lexington last week, beat Maryland Bible College 118-72. Has anyone heard of them before? They are not listed at any level of the NCAA or NAIA.

Here is their schedule- they play only 17 games, and only 2 are home games. They play several teams 2 or 3 times.

This game is of interest for TWO reasons....

First-- because BU plays Richmond next week and they gave Syracuse a pretty good run...Eric Devendorf had 22 pts.

Second-- because starting PG Eric Devendorf started and played the whole game,
even though he's part of a brewing story in Syracuse, that he punched out a woman
and then was subsequently cited by police for harassment of the same woman.
This all happened nearly 3 weeks ago and the incidents also involved at least four other
members of the basketball team as well!
The woman called police but Devendorf had already left the scene.
There is also a report that an influential "lawyer" called the DA's office to persuade the
DA to drop the whole case because
"if Devendorf was arrested, "the effect would be draconian for him,"
Fitzpatrick said. Devendorf is apparently on some kind of probation at SU"

Note the kid is reportedly already "on probation" at Syracuse, and he has been in the headlines before for trouble.

Devendorf is a punk and I really dislike him more then anyone else in college basketball right now. I hope he gets suspended for the rest of the season but I'm sure he'll just get a "slap on the wrist."
