Richmond is a good team...that would be big
Not pretty, but a win. Didn't get the game on TV, but sounds like Wilson played well and Egolf played well. Any stats from the game?
Well, a wins a win I guess. It was good for Egolf's confidence as his future was looking bleak but he made several big plays tonight. I think SM and Theron need to shoot more and lower turnovers. This team is lacking that go to player. Going to have some problems tomorrow with Richmond but the non conference season is shot anyways so it doesn't really matter until Valley season and hopefully Warren is back then.

Welcome to Bradley basketball Will. I'm not going to call this a great win because if we had taken better care of the basketball we would have beat this team by double digiits but it's an important win especially after last night. Richmond will be a tough game but if we can play the same kind of defense I like our chances.
I'm glad to see that our defense took over. Les has often been criticized as being a one dimensional coach by using the small guard, weave offense and winning "shootout" type games with no emphasis on rebounding and defense. But tonight he showed that he will not tolerate a team that does not play with intensity and intelligence. By stressing defense, he knows that will create more chances on the offensive side and offset the early season shooting problems that some on this team apparently are having. Also great to see that he is benching some players that are not pulling their weight. Let's hope this wakes the rest of the team up a bit.
Not to be negative, but our opponent is one of the worst teams in America. Nonetheless, the effort was better, as were the results. Let's use it as a confidence builder moving forward.
I thought the second half by BU was pretty good. But for a stretch where I think they missed four shots without an offensive rebound in a row, they were playing some good ball against FGCU. Norris and Egolf had nice games-- especially happy to see Egolf out there. McCain did have a bad game, but I don't think he should be banished to end of bench, as he's still trying to figure it out out there. Richmond could be a challenge, or maybe this team will start to get it and go on a run in both halves.
McCain just isn't ready to play yet at this level. He's only a freshman, so that's not necessarily a surprise. He is flat-out scared offensively, and it shows in his play. He just isn't ready. If we ever get to full strength in the backcourt, I would expect him to be a deep reserve. He has potential as a decent pure PG, but his time is not now.
I agree, but I also thought there were a few times against Florida where he made some decent plays. We should never *EVER* see him on the floor with Manistrigonometry... But who would be your top candidate to play point when SM is taking a breather? I'd like it to be DD, but he hasn't played point much yet for us.
