BU women's basketball wins Northern Arizona tournament

The BU women won their opening game in the Fairfield Inn/Holiday Inn Thanksgiving Classic at Northern Arizona University.

The BU women are now 4-1 and face UC Riverside at 2:05 p.m. in the championship game of the NAU Thanksgiving Classic.
The game will be broadcast via the internet at www.bradleybraves.com and live stats will be available on the Northern Arizona Athletics website.

It was Paula Buscher's 100th win. Congratulations to Paula and to the Braves.

Looks like the womens team could have a good year with the early 4-1 start! Its been a while since they have been good and the recruiting might be paying off! :D
 
The women outrebounded NAU 46-30 despite playing without Sonya Harris, one of the better rebounders on the team. Sonya sat out with a minor injury.
 
The Bradley women beat UC-Riverside 59-56 to win the Fairfield Inn/Holiday Inn Thanksgiving Classic at Northern Arizona University Saturday. Freshman Michelle Lund was the leading scorer with 13 points and was named the MVP of the tournament. Congratulations Michelle!
Skye Johnson was also named to the All-Tournament team.

Bradley outrebounded UC-R 42-28, and they are now 5-1.

Congrats Michelle and congrats to the Lady Braves.

As good as I think they might be, and as good as they are playing, I think I will be making the trek to the ICC gym for a game or two. I wanna see them in action! Plus I know my Little Brave will enjoy it for a while.
 
Good for the Braves...hope they can keep it going when the Valley schedule starts up...it would be great for them to make a run for the Valley championship this season! :D
