Replacing Will...

With Will out who do we go to for our #5?? Last night's game convinced me it couldn't hurt too much to at least try thompson at center. Singh can be alright and unless collins steps it up, i really think we need to at least try thompson or brown more in the post.

Brown + Singh + Thompson...

TB at the 5 is ludicrous! TB will not be playing the 5 in this league or any other league. Expect him to move into the backup at the 4 now and substitute TW exclusively. TB is a true 3 and playing him at the 5 could only hurt him. SS will be the starter after that, DC and AT will fight for playing time and my bet will be DC. Guys TB is a freshman and at 6'6" maybe he is to small to guard a 5 in this league and may only get hurt if he tries. Yes we will be playing small ball but even those teams have at least a true PF playing the post.

The question is does JW have the ability to guard a 5? Who cares where his offensive prowess is! We'll need someone to shut down the middle and last I heard basketball is a team sport.

TB is not a 3. He's a 4.

There's no replacing WE. There's no one on our roster as good as him down low. If AW ever comes back, it's going to be bombs away. Yippee.

Agree... I am grinding my teeth as I say this, but imo the rotation for the 5 has to be Singh as starter, with minutes going to DC and AT. We alter the substitution minutes between DC and AT depending who is producing better on the floor during the game. If Wilkens qualifies, then JL can have more room to adjust the lineup and substitution patterns... (if Wilkens is as good as advertised and can adapt quickly)

BU should play small ball (sorry OOB) with TW, DD, CR, SM, and EM, with AT & SS off the bench as needed in games where we are playing huge teams (MSU may be the only team to fit that category).

I'd like to see Norris and Brown come off the bench for a spark. I really think Norris can develop into a serious 3-point threat.

This would have to be one of the smallest starting lineups in D1. There is no way we can guard the post if we don't have at least one legitimate big in the lineup. I think we can play stretches with TW and TB against smaller teams, but we're in trouble if one of them is at the 5 for more than a few minutes a game.

I think SS is going to be starting for a while out of necessity. I'm hoping AT is ready to contribute soon.

Don't be sorry my friend. We can't always agree.;-)

Didn't someone say AT was the best center he has ever coached:doubt::?:?

I know this will be unpopular, but they have to go with DC - he has the most experience at that position. I believe he is going to be your starter. Would be surprised if it were anyone else.
