Games of Interest 11/30

Yeah I saw that but I must not have interpreted it the same way...I just took it as his season just went down the drain....which, in a sense, is true.

This fits in the "nit-pick-n-gotchya" of today. It's the basic old-school move of "sluff-n-duff" and "that's not what I meant". It sticks the fork in - gets an effect - hurts people who hold something emotionally dear to themselves - then the offender backs off and claims that wasn't the intent. It can be read one way or another... so the fork sticks without being "too offensive". Basically out-smarting the "nit-pick" of the "nit-pcik-and-gotchya" police.

But it is "nit-pick-n-GOTCHYA".

bah...nevermind.

Hey Quinnie. Long time no see.

I understand how R21 and maybe others feel slighted but this is not an "Open-Line Friday" forum for negative comments especially from non-Bradley fans. I just wish everyone understood that.

I think Beamer has a VERY successful Bradley Bashing message board out there somewhere with open arms and bandwidth for all the "haters".

Good win for the Valley tonight as Drake beats New Mexico 68-62 in the Cancun Classic. Another encouraging preview of the official Valley/Mountain West Challenge beginning next year!

Speaking of Bulldogs.......
Gonzaga won the Old Spice Classic with a win over Tennessee, 83-74.
Gonzaga's Jeremy Pargo was the Tournament MVP.

Does anyone have an idea how this Chicago kid got away from the local schools?

Hey Tornado. I've been lurking for a long time. Sometimes it's hard to resist hitting that reply button!

We all have passion, and just want to stand up and defend not only our teams, but our alma mater's and the towns we now call home. Ya know what I mean?

hmmm..there are just a few comments on some other boards you may have seen that are slightly critical of BU and it's message boarders, wouldn't you say?
I guess if one takes joy in seeing problems, injuries, etc... elsewhere, then it defines those boards as what they are...

The few times I've seen Pargo he has thoroughly unimpressed me. He is very over-rated IMO and will not make the NBA. He has a real problem with running the team consistently and seems to make ALOT of bad shot and pass decisions.

Reportedly that's what NBA people told him last summer when he put his name into the NBA draft. He was able to attend some NBA workouts, and was told to return to college and refine his point guard skills. I think he does look a little better as a PG this year.

Here's another Chicago kid that flew under the radar...

Darion "Jake" Anderson...
he averaged 32 ppg for Chicago Carver, then despite being a non-qualifier, he went to NIU, sat out a year
(as mny from the IL prep schools did), and is now playing great and literally carrying them.
Last year he was the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year averaging 12.2 ppg.
This year he is off to a 17.3 ppg/5.3 rpg start.
He just won NIU's 2nd consecutive MAC Player of the Week Award, and the 2nd time Anderson has won the award!
He is the only remaining Rob Judson recruit on the NIU roster.
