Kentucky fans missing Tubby?

That's what this Rivals article suggests, as Billy Gillispoie gets blamed for yesterday's loss at home to Miami.

Gillispie's worst sin is making Rupp and its guaranteed sold-out 23,000 seats, which should be one of the biggest home-court advantages in college basketball, look vulnerable to just about any Division I team.
Gardner-Webb won in Rupp last year. VMI did this year, scoring an inexcusable 111 points along the way. Now the Wildcats are losing games by halftime on the same court where Kentucky won 129 in a row from 1943-1955.
Nothing like that happened under Tubby's watch, which included an average of 26 wins a year in Lexington. It makes you wonder how much longer a fan base that wasn't satisfied with that kind of success will put up with the disturbing trends Smith's successor seems to be setting.

yup-- when Gillispie showed up the cabinet was not bare...
he should be doing better, players have left and the fan base is growing restless..

they should fire him now and cut their losses, he's had long enough....maybe they should go back to whoever the other finalist candidate is regardless of how poorly that guy is doing... ;)

This is a perfect example of running a good coach out of town and then probably ending up with one that is not as good. Billy did a great job at Tx.A&M but there was not the kind of pressure to win there as you have at Kentucky.

Give him a couple more years and maybe make that decision....

Otherwise you have another ND incident occuring.
