Warren

Those who were in the chat room during the MSU game have good reason to believe that Wednesday of this week is a very important decision day. That's all I'll say publicly.

Those small bones even when healed can create discomfort for various reasons. I broke my hand in September and am finally playing some ball and it still hurts a bit and it is not even my shooting hand. I can only imagine the foot where you put a lot more pressure on.

At the end of the day they will do what is best for AW. As we have discussed before the worst outcome could be that he RSs and can you imagine that team 2 years from now?

I personally am in favor of a redshirt if he can't be ready for the entire conference season.

I find it kind of frustrating that we're sitting here 3 weeks from Christmas still talking about an injury that we were told would be alleviated before the home opener. I don't necessarily think anyone was at fault, but nonetheless frustrating.

It just seems that you are a bit more frustrated this year then any other!;-) As I said earlier worse things can happen then AW redshirting. Last year I was frustrated, this year except for AW I believe we are petty much where I thought we would be plus we have a few great freshmen and recruits coming in.

I feel like this program is going in the right direction and JL is the right guy to guide us. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it looks bright.

I am frustrated with our bad luck with injuries, not with Jim. I have my complaints and wish we did some things better or differently, but I would with any coach.

One thing with or if 2 players redshirting, is what about the new players coming in? They could potentially lose a valuable playing year themselves. I'm sure the coaches evaluate that as well.

Good point Jason; with Egolf redshirting we will have Thompson,Egolf,Brown,Norris, McCain, and Wilkens all in the same class.

Exactly. If they all stay 4 years (which seems to rarely happen anymore), it would provide the kind of continuity we haven't had in this program in over a decade. Teams that grow together like that often times end up being special. I hope that group sticks together and has one of those special runs.

That looks like its going to be a really good class down the road a little bit, and i'm sure it will help recruiting the more we win!

Let's hope AT stays and JW even comes here....both seem like possibilities of not happening

Though these and other things could always be considered possibilities, there is nothing I have heard to lead me to believe so. It looks like JW is enrolling soon, and AT is happy here and planning on staying for 4 years.

I'm too lazy to look this up, but is there a limit to the amount of redshirts a team can use each year or in a given amount of years?

I said this before, but my son broke his sesmoid bone, which is about the size of a pea and is located in the ball of the foot, back in mid July at BU soccer camp and he still feels the "pain" today even though the doctor cleared him late November to resume full activity. As soon as I heard about the injury, I was worried it would or could linger the whole season. I'm for redshirting AW, if that's what he wants, but don't have a problem with him coming back either because he is a great player.

I broke a small bone in my foot playing basketball over 25 years ago (while at BU) and it never healed right. It has re-broken a few times since then and still does not feel "right" to this day. Hands and feet are funny/quirky.
