Promotions entry & the lineup intro video

The major difference I've seen this year is that Herzog instantly goes into the lineups now as opposed to letting the music go for 10 seconds or so. Nothing is a bigger thrill than when you get 10,000 people all clapping in unison, which is what happened during the Zombie Nation song in previous seasons.

The intro video is fine but people aren't necessarily "pumped" by it. If it's a time thing, shorten the video. Just get the lights down, and some music going that everyone can clap to ... during the sweet 16 year and the year before it would send shivers up my spine how amazing the arena felt. Just doesn't have that power like the past.

People are at a college game to be entertained by the pre-game, introductions, time-out skits and 1/2 time shows?

I thought people went to watch the game.

Mob, who is the hot guitar playing chick?

Agreed, as much as I love our fight song, it is not something that really gets the students going. Right or wrong, many don't know the words and Zombie Nation (the song we jump and and down to) is a great way to get students into the game and the team pumped. I know many of the fans at BU games are older, but the intent of the line-up announcement should be to help the team out. Playing what they want to hear, and what gets the students into the game should be what we do. The people who want to hear the band all the time and don't like the quasi-rap music and such, in general, are not the fans who are going to to be loud and help the team out.

This comment may come under fire, as I know some of you 'blue-hairs' ( ;) ) do help provide a great atmosphere for our Braves, but I'm callin' it like I see it..

I'm gonna call it like I see it too; you will be old someday too... good luck with that!

Personally this year's "still" pictures don't do it for me. Go with some video! Also, the music is not very exciting. I almost fell asleep during the intro last game and at the very least I was bored with it! Wake up the crowd, please!!!

I liked everything about the video after the Sweet 16...

Why mess w/ a good thing?!

The song is actually a remix of "Kernkraft 400" by a German DJ known as Zombie Nation. Hate to be the music snob, but we might as well be accurate. I would also be really upset if we got rid of it... There's nothing quite like like screaming and (/or jumping up and down) to it with all of you.

How about we include the Carmina Burana in some form? It's been overtly commercialized and used to death, but it really seems to get people fired up.. We could tie still photos with the gong hits (1:40 on this recording), right?

I myself have little problem w/ the music selection...other than almost everyone uses it...

What happened to teams being original?

But my problem lies w/ the video...why did we mess w/ such a good thing...

Most seemed to enjoy the original.

If that's what the players need to get them pumped up, I'm fine with it. Just don't knock the blue hairs. As I've said many many times, no blue hairs no program.

I don't mind the intro video. I actually quite like it. I don't really know what to do with the music, at least until (the) Zombie Nation (song) comes on. I also do prefer the way we used to go into the swing march for the tip off... I liked the way Vroman could keep the beat going right up until the tip off went up.

This years intro is just terrible and they always seem to mess up the correlaion between the video and the "woahhh woahhh' song. The fans dont really seem to get in it either IMO.

I would like to see a highlight real of this years team with some dave snell play by play in the background. Its pretty bad when the only players on this years team they show in the video is AW... TW might be in it but I don't remember for sure.

I agree w/ the Snell PBP comment...that would be great...we'd certainly get some great "KABOOM's" from the SIU game for TW...

I believe Sammy is also in the montage w/ Andrew...if my memory serves correctly that is...

I just don't like the video as it doesn't get the crowd all that excited...

The best parts about the post-Sweet 16 video were the shots of the fans at the arena in Michigan, the fans at the airport, and just the collective reminder of where we've been...its an aspect of Bradley Basketball at its finest and that should be incorporated w/ some current clips of this years team...

Maybe debut something new for the next home game...ISU...hint hint...

Marketing team...hint hint...;-)

Haha, I hope you know I only meant the comment in jest, just havin' a little fun. After spending three years as an intern in fund raising at BU, I definitely understand how much alum mean to the university.

Are you sure? I think you're too busy getting to your center court seats with your scholarship society beers...

I think our's is the best out of those other's.The student's could get into it a little more to. :mad:Comparing to whene we go to diffrent ranked areanas.(michigan state)But there a little to crazy but i'd like to see that, at least if were facing a good team that'd be great. They could use a little more intencity on the opponets and create a 6th man on the court. No offence to the students but i'd like to see more action taken on there part.:!:

I liked having a former player or coach making an announcement on the board before the game, it seemed to fire up the crowd more then just watching some video"s.The other thing I agree with is they had a great intro 3 years ago so I just don"t understand why you would try to fix something that wasn"t broken .
