Ok, 2 categories here as some haven't scored a win yet to date and some haven't scored a win against D1 (but picked up a win over Non-D1).

Houston Baptist 0-8
Loy-Marymount 0-8
Miss Valley St 0-10
N Florida 0-7
NCCU 0-10
NJIT 0-9
SC Upstate 0-6
Southern U 0-4 (0-6 overall, have lost to 2 Non-D1's too)
Texas So 0-8
UA-Pine Bluff 0-7

Winless vs D1 (but have beaten Non-D1's):

Alabama A&M 0-4 (1-4)

Prairie View 0-5 (3-5)
UNC-Greensboro 0-5 (1-5)
Winthrop 0-7 (1-7)
Youngstown St 0-6 (1-6)

Once many of these loser teams start playing conference games against equally bad teams they will quickly drop off this list..................... But they'll still be losers

Thought I'd update this a little.

Winless UAPB

Winless UAPB

An add on to the original post. UA Pine Bluff (UAPB) has actually won a game but their Basketball program is basically similar to the Washington Generals. The sole reason for the existence of the program is to raise money for the all the athletic coffers.
They have played eight games this year (1-7) and not a single home game. They have played Colorado, Texas A&M, Crieghton, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Missiouri, Purdue and SMU. The lone victory being against SMU. Basically these schools get an easy win and still are able to sell out their home arena.
My question to the board. How fair is it to the Student Atheletes to put them through the ringer for the sake of the Football Program? Or feel like second class citizens. Yes, they are getting an education. Not sure how good. My friend works there and he is not impressed at all, he went to Vanderbilt for a comparison.

The first post was Dec 9th before UAPB won their first game on 12/15. The updated list does not include them. Which brings me back to a common thought I have had... should I edit my original posts to avoid any confusion? I think I might in the future. ;)

I wasn't calling you out. I just thought that since I was a little familar with their situation that I would pose a question. UAPB uses their Basketball program in a way that ridicules both their Basketball Players and the school itself by playing a scheudle that is that basically Pimps them out. Not that this doesn't happen everywhere but this the most extreme case.
Instead of the UAPB Golden Lions they should be the UAPB Generals. They are to college basketball what the Washington Generals are to the Harlem Globetrotters.

Wow--- just how bad is Southern???
The 0-10 Southern just got done playing the 0-9 South Carolina Upstate,
and it was actually a home game for Southern...
The outcome.....

South Carolina Upstate absolutley blew Southern away...
Final score 71-43, but SC-Upstate led by 20 early in the 2nd half.

I think Southern has cemented its claim as worst DI team of 2008-2009, and they may even be worse than NJIT!!

BUT--- there is yet hope.....each of Southern's next two games are also against winless team, so maybe they can pull an upset!!
Southern plays Texas Southern on Jan. 3, and Prairie View A&M on Jan. 5.

In fact here is an astounding fact...and proof there IS at least one team that has scheduled worse than ISU.

NOT one team remaining on Southern's schedule has more than ONE win vs. a D-I team...not one!
Southern plays 6 more games against winless teams, and ten more against teams with only one win!!
The combined record of all their future opponents is = 10-149!!!
Whoa

6 Completely Winless:

Loy-Marymount 0-14
Miss Valley St 0-13
NCCU 0-15
NJIT 0-13
Southern U 0-10/0-12
Texas So 0-13

6 more Winless vs D1 (but have beaten Non-D1's):

Alcorn St 0-10 (2-11)
E Michigan 0-10 (2-10)
Furman 0-8 (2-8 )
Prairie View 0-9 (4-9)
UNC-Greensboro 0-9 (1-9)
Winthrop 0-10 (1-10)

Winthrop seems to have really gone downhill since Marshall left. They had a pretty good thing going but now.....

5 Completely Winless:

Loy-Marymount 0-15
Miss Valley St 0-14
NCCU 0-16
NJIT 0-14
Texas So 0-14

4 more Winless vs D1 (but have beaten Non-D1's):

Alcorn St 0-11 (2-12)
E Michigan 0-11 (2-11)
Furman 0-9 (2-9)
UNC-Greensboro 0-10 (1-10)

Southern U, Prairie View and Winthrop all picked up a recent win.

The team with the dead last place RPI, Southern U. at least has a couple chances coming up...

They just beat 0-14 Texas Southern, but now face
1-9 Prairie View A&M
1-10 Grambling
1-12 Jackson St.
2-10 Ark-Pine Bluff
0-13 Mississippi Valley State

the combined records (vs DI) of their next 5 opponents is 5-54!

How is the SWAC a division I conference? It's a joke year in and year out. Not one team in that conference is above .500, and their best team is Alabama State, which is 4-7 including a 1-0 conference record. Two of those wins came against non-D1 opponents, and the other was against Houston Baptist, another winless team.

Completely Winless:
NCCU 0-18
NJIT 0-16

Winless vs D1 (but have won vs non-D1):
Alcorn St 0-13/2-14
E Michigan 0-13/2-13
Furman 0-11/2-11

I will try to provide schedules within a day or two and update this more often as it is becoming more conversational.

I remember looking up the numbers.

The league as a whole, non-conference vs. D-1 competition: 5-95. 5 and freakin' 95. And 2 of those are against transitional schools (Houston Baptist and North Carolina Central).

And they're 10-6 against lower divisions. Just 10-6.

There has to be a bottom, if it wasn't the SWAC it would be someone else. Nature of the beast. For every W theres an L...

Little change on this list. NCCU won leaving NJIT as the lone team to not beat anyone yet. As for those that have beaten Non-D1's but haven't beaten a D1, E Michigan is off the list after defeating C Michigan in 2 OT's (hey - C Michigan, isn't that one of ISU's big road wins this year ;)). All 3 in action today.

Completely Winless:
NJIT 0-16 vs Penn

Winless vs D1 (but have won vs non-D1):
Alcorn St 0-14/2-15 vs Miss Valley St
Furman 0-12/2-12 vs Coll of Charleston
