!! Only because Illinois has an extra one anyway, that was never filled when they graduated Pruitt & Randle last year and then Alexander left.
The only guys that came in last fall were Stan Simpson & Dominique Keller, leaving Weber with an extra ride for this year.
Now consider this....had Weber NOT been thinking since last fall that he still might fill that scholarship (maybe another early 1st semester transfer like Alex Legion was last last year or a midyear transfer like Torres Roundtree was), then he would have given it to Jeff Jordan last fall!
Instead he is now only giving it to Jordan since there no further chance at all it'll get filled by a mid-season transfer, as those guys would have already had to be enrolled in school.
BUT.....Weber ONLY has one open scholarship for 2009 and I doubt he is ready to give it to Jordan yet, so I suspect Jordan only has the scholarship through the end of this year.
BTW--- I am strongly suspicious that Weber WILL have one additional extra scholarship for 2009 -- as someone on the team right now who is NOT happy with playing time, is likely to leave.
