....really want to hear JL's reason for sitting TW. He was busting his b@lls and is about the only guy out there with any passion. He got frustrated...well I wonder why.......I HOPE to heck he doesn't say he was sending him a message. If he did, or does I know what MY response would be if I were TW.

I wouldn't think TW's response would be much really. He's on the tail end of a career here. He needs to quit thumping his chest after every basket and just play the game. He tends to to react to most of his fouls....emotions are fine but they need to be held in check sometimes

This team needs some fire......thump away TW I don't care. Someone needs to get mad and show that they care.

He was in foul trouble all night. That's why he wasn't playing.

I understand what you are saying dogs....but sometimes they need some control......emotions without control lead to problems IMO

My Quote from the other post.
I just don't know what Jimmy wants from the guy:!: He is the only guy giving 100% and playing out of position. He's playing against players a lot bigger most nights and often just goes on just heart:!: I feel his fustration and he is starting to show it:!:

don't get me wrong. I love TW too but....one man won't win games. You still, no matter what have to trust your teammates. sometimes he tries to it all himself and while he's good he's not that good.

He plays with passion and I do love that but he has to know when to tone it down and running around the court complaining about the call is going to get you a T and that just does not help the cause.

In the case of tonight, the foul that came before the T looked pretty obvious so I don't know what there was to complain about. He is supposed to be a leader on the team and from what the announcers said (they could be wrong I don't know) I guess he got on Roberts case about playing in control of your emotions and then he goes off. The game was out of hand and I don't have a problem with JL benching him for the rest of the game. To try to see the silver lining, at least that is 9 minutes that are off his legs and maybe he'll get a little more rest going to Creighton.

I like guys with heart! However, and I might be wrong, the game was out of hand and the T was his 4th foul. As a coach, why would I risk my best player getting a 2nd T and in big trouble?!? My guess is if we had made some sort of run at the end and really closed the gap, then TW would have been back in there.

I agree. It was obvious we were not going to win this game. From 10 minutes left I think JL couldn't wait until it was over

Would that necessarily help the team, or just make you feel better as a frustrated fan?

He was on the bench because he wasn't constructively using his passion to help the team. He was selfish. Most of the time he's great, but last night he crossed that line into NBA player tantrum territory after the foul and Les did the right thing to get him out of there.

Why does Dave Draucker always seem to get mentioned in the article when he covers BU games? Seems like he is always at the center of something.

The only times i've really noticed TW getting really worked up is after he doesn't get a call

Last night he had double team under the hoop, got fouled...didn't get called...very blatant missed call. very frustrating
next he gets called and then T-ed up...I understand that frustration.

similar stuff at ISU the other week.

I love theron and his attitude is the only thing that keeps bradley going at times

see the word selfish mentioned here...but it doesn't fit....Theron is a team player and his frustration was not based on him...there were many frustrating calls....DC's fouls in the 1st half were just shy of ridiculus(sp)......twice he was called for something the other player initiated.....thinking the frustration for TW was team wide.....not just his foul or lack thereof

Because he looks for a confrontation. He is like a baseball umpire who stares down a guy after a 3rd strike call. Draucker wants you to challenge him. I think he enjoys giving a guy a T, just sometimes because he can.

Frustration and venting frustration are two different things. Yes the whole team was frustrated, but why was TW the only one that reacted like that and got a T?

I love Theron as a player and I didn't think there was anything different with that foul than what wasn't being called at the other end, but that reaction was unnecessary.

I agree it was not something he should have done...he would even tell you that....

but the act itself wasn't due to him being selfish...I guess I don't get it.....he has pretty much shown me he is a team guy first....
