Looking at the remaining schedules for all the teams, I see us in the 4/5 game against most likely Evansville. Evansville needs to beat either us or Illinois State at home though to get that 5 seed...otherwise they likely slip to the play-in round. Their remaining schedule is brutal. Right now, I foresee a 3-way tie for 5th at 8-10 between Evansville, Drake, and SIU, and if that happens, I believe Evansville will get the 5 and SIU will play Thursday night.

post season not looking very good now with the real record @ 12-11 with the SIUE not counting

What Big M, No CBI or that other one someone is trying to start:confused:
I know what you mean:wink: but there is still a chance,:-o just have to put three in a roll in StL:!: Hopefully not 4:eek:

Great, we maneuvered right into the middle of the mid-conference mess.

The 4/5 barrier is worth the advantage in the tourney, and a NIT/CBI/whatever postseason spot. I can't see room for 6 MVC teams, for sure.

The good news is we can bury Evansville and get the 4 seed. The bad news is that Evansville can bury us and the #8 seed is in play.

The schedule is scary in a sense coming down the stretch.

If you really look at it, there's a slight possibility that 4 teams could end at 8-10 in conference play (Drake, SIU, Evansville, Wichita State) and those would obviously be the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th place teams with two of those losing tiebreaker points and ending up playing Thursday night because of it.

Very strange set of circumstances that would be.

It also looks as though ISU is edging closer to locking the 3 slot with their loss tonight and Creighton would obviously get the #2 if thats the case.
