Why we need that 3 seed now

Last night the improbable happened in WSU's win over UNI. That win,coupled with at least one more for sure between their home game against the trees or their road game at woeful SIU now means the shucks will own the tiebreaker among 3 likely 8-10 teams in EU , WSU, and Drake. We really need Drake to beat ISU tonight. The good news is that with the trees and shuckers surge, we should win tiebreakers with ISU for #3 if we can win out because our road wins over them count for more points the higher they finish in the standings. I think CU will win conference now as I see UNI falling at least once and probably twice in their last 3 and CU only has ISU red to worry about on senior day.
 
The only team I would like to wait until the final is CU. I hope someone upsets them, DC is playing some decent minutes then I believe we can pull off a suprise. The winner of the MVC tournament will have to use their bench quite exclusivley and if the right guys get hot I like our chances. CU is the best team in the Valley right now. We should have beaten UNI and for some reason they do not scare me.

Exactly SFP! I predicted UNI would falter eventually. They're really not that talented or athletic; they were just playing fantastic team basketball. I really think they'll lose first or second round game of MVC Tournament.

CU is now FINALLY living up to the hype. I felt they would win the Valley as I really think they have superior talent to everyone else in the league (with the possible exception of BU). I really think the difference between CU and BU comes down to returning talent and players with a higher basketball IQ. That's not a knock on BU -- we have great athletes who I believe are second to none in the league. The problem is that many of our athletes are better athletes than basketball players. CU has both average/good athletes but they are better basketball players -- they can hit the 3, understand the flow of the game, and can play great help defense.

I think CU has the potential to get an NCAA bid if they win out and go to the MVC final and lose..... TO BU :) . I really hope our guys have one final run left come March ;)
 
I think the other reason CU is a big threat in the tourney, is because they play so deep. Seems like Altman has like 10 or so guys that get fairly big minutes.
 
CU is probably going to win in St. Louis, and may even win the regular season crown. I don't want anything to do with their side of the bracket. Staying away from them until Sunday gives us our best shot to pull the miracle IMO.
