1 MVC game Friday 2/20

absolutely, positively....
I cannot imagine any good fan of any MVC team wanting our MVC members losing these games...
This is one I say, Go ISU!

Agree with Tornado. I'll definitely be rooting for ISU here. I only "hate" ISU when they're playing BU. For me it's a sort of friendlyish rivalry.

Do you guys root for ISU in this one? I would assume some will and some wont... same with ISU fans during the BU/Loyola game...

I would love for the MVC to run the table in the BB...at least the televised games anyway...

Absolutely! There is no point in rooting against any MVC team as this can help lift the Valley's RPI. Of course I'll be rooting for ISU. If anyone doesn't, I feel pretty bad they feel that way.

I'll be rooting for ISU as well. I also think it's a "friendly" rivalry except for the few jerks that take it too far...those are the ones I hate

Are they playing at Pekin High School? If not I could swear its the same gym! For some strange reason this is the only valley game I wouldn't be upset if it was a loss. I feel compelled to say Go Niagra Go Purple Eagles! But I really would like to see ISU put up a better effort than this. GO MVC!

Niagara is a pretty solid team. They held off ISU's 2nd half run fairly well. And they made some amazing athletic plays on offense and defense.

Final score-
ISU 56
Niagara 70

ISU looked really bad from start to finish. I am sure Coach Jank isn't happy. Bad shooting, and I don't know how many turnovers they had, but there were quite a few unforced ones on bad passes. Shipley, who has looked good the last 2 games, had a bad game, as did Eldridge, and as did most of the ISU players. Any remote chance of an at-large possibility for ISU just evaporated with this

Box score should be posted here shortly-

Both times we played ISU, I thought we did pretty well defensively. They got 52 pts at our place. They played in that tough, tiny Niagara arena. They did get easy looks when they went inside for a while, but when they relied on threes, they fell behind.

OMG...I heard the first few minutes then went to dinner then a couple high school games, so I am just now seeing the final score.
This is really a bummer........and expect a few "overrated" columns written by the talking heads about the Valley.
