I think the frontrunner now for the POY award is my pick to win it- Booker Woodfox. He has been the most consistent player in the MVC, is 2nd in the MVC in scoring, and 1st in 3-point shooting at 50%, and has been Creighton's leader and best player all year.

What about Theron Wilson? He is having great year. He is 7th in scoring and 3rd in rebounding. I personallly don't think he'll get many votes since Bradley now is falling out of contention for the lead, but he has carried Bradley and is one of the top few players in the league.
So I am thinking it could be LOTS of fun watching O and Booker go at it in the last Sunday of play, with (possibly) the conference championship (#1 seed) on the line... could decide alot in regards to the POY
I know I am somewhat biased, but I really think Eldridge is the Player of the Year.
His offense might not be where Woodfox's is, but OE's defense is 2nd to none this year. Eldridge has become a very good lock down defender and he might very well win Defensive player of the year.
I would take his all-around game over Woodfox's scoring ability any day.
And, my vote for Valley MVP would go to either Oguchi or King O.
I reserve the right to change my opinion.......... so I am:lol:
I would now vote for Booker Woodfox based on his continued success and impact and the leadership he has provided to Creighton in leading them to a terrrific Valley finish.
Here is a good discussion of the MVC Player of the Year race by the writer for Indiana State.
