Backdoor 5 seed?????

We play WSU if they win at SIU.
We play SIU if they beat WSU, and we beat DU, and UNI beats UE.
We play either SIU or Evansville (very close in tiebreaker, but slight edge to SIU probably) if SIU beats WSU, DU beats us, and UNI beats UE.
We play Evansville in any other scenario.
 
I will do cartwheels if we get to play SIU in a 4-5 game without Mullins. Even with their "home court" advantage, we're better and should beat them soundly. Other teams however, I'm not as confident with.
 
I also think it's funny how SIU can get as high as a 5 seed, or as low as a 9 seed... but it is statistically impossible for them to get a 7 seed. It's a crazy league.
 
no matter our seed, it will be soo tought to win mvc tourny. Creighton is really playing their best right now and BU just has trouble scoring in close games and have trouble putting a win streak together. I really really hope BU can win it and make NCAA tourny but it doesnt look likely......:(

If we win the first one I like our chances because it seems this team plays better the more it plays. The Florida tournament could be an indication of what we are capable of doing in a 3 game tourney. I agree that CU has to be the overwhelming favorite.

Don't forget that illinois state played two 3-game tournaments in November to prepare them for the one in March! :roll:
 
should be a fun tourny to watch and ill keep my fingers crossed. maybe some upsets will happen and the bracket will open up for BU!!!!!

They also had a deeper bench. We are deep enough to make a run if everyone is zoned in on what they need to do. I know you play to win that day but if we have any chance to win on Sunday SM will have to be fresh. He's really our only real outside threat!
