PGs- McCain and Maniscalco

Honestly, GTD, I'd like to see the scenario you're talking about with SM starting at the 1 (anyone who says Sam should come off the bench after the last few games is just blind). However, I fully expect to see the Lineup be EM, SM, AW, DD/CR, WE, at least to start the season. With all inexperienced big men(except for SS), I do not expect JL to start two of them... Nor should I really.

You think that DD/CR will start over TB at the 4! I would be surprised because TB has been coming in exclusively for TW and not once when TW was on the bench did we see either DD or CR in for him.

There are certainly a lot of options for next year... I pretty much agree with GTD concerning a bigger lineup... I would like to see a EM, AW, CR, TB, SS lineup for the start of next season. The lineup we will probably see at the begining of the year will be closer to what amcillip has listed but put SS in place of WE. The toughest aspect for the coaching staff for next year will be defining roles and seeing which lineup gels the best.

Well said,

I think the only sure thing of someone starting will be AW.

every other spot is up for grabs, each possition has at least 2 very capable people.

I personally like SM more than EM...i just like his style of play more and i feel that EM drives too much and gets caught in triple coverage and can't dish it out afterwards.

I would like to see: SM, AW, CR, TB, SS...i like having a big lineup and this is pretty big

I don't see any way you can start Eddren if you are also planning on starting Singh and Brown. That is one bad, bad offensive lineup you are putting out on the floor there. Warren will have a lot of trouble scoring when he is getting triple-teamed with that lineup out on the floor.
I usually agree with you ER3 but not this time... and if AW is triple teamed, somebody has to be open!:)

The last one I saw triple teamed was Larry Bird, so I guess he is comparing AW to LB, they are both from Indiana. The final score was something like 29-27 in favor of Indiana State, there was no shot clock. The 3 triple teaming Bird had him pinned on the baseline several times. I hope I'm remembering this name right - it was Carl Nicks that won that game for them.

The only way TB starts next year is if that boy puts on some serious muscle and can bang a bit or if he develops a 15 foot shot that he MAKES more than 40% of the time. He's not a Theron...not yet at least.

EM and SM should not be on the floor together next year, it was a necessity this year, but shouldn't be next year.

SM
nice to see AW at the two but more than likely will be switched with
DD
CR/JP (depending on how each comes in)
SS

that's an athletic..relatively big..offensive&defensive capable lineup right there

I generally don't favor subbing during OT. You have to ride your best five.

I kind of agree with you, although I think we maybe could have done some offense/defense subs to try to stay fresh. However, we aren't real deep, and didn't have anyone we could go to who hadn't been sitting for 20 minutes.

I was at that game and Carl Nicks was a great college player. People who think that Indiana State team was a one man operation never watched them play. They also had a pretty good center.

Their center was Alex Gilbert, whose nephew Phillip played for Bradley.

Their lineup also included Bobby Heaton, and another guard named Steve Reed.

I was also at that game. I believe BU actually played a triangle & two.. not a triple team of Bird. Harold McMath (?) was about a 6'6"-6'7" forward and the teams best defender. He had the backside and one of the guards fronted Bird. Without checking the record books.. Bird scored only 3 that night.. 2 when he stole the ball.. and a free throw. That game was also a coming up of short for Nicks. He had not scored much on the season coming into that game. He had a big night was stayed hot until the finals against Michigan State.

That was a fun game to watch although I like todays games better. I think we played the 4 corners which is why the score was so low but when we got a man open (backdoor) we went for it. Dick Versace almost pulled it off.
