Kentucky fans want Gillispie gone

I think Gillespie was better coaching at a lower level program , too much pressure to win at Kentucky changes the way you may do things.

Oh how can they treat him like this? His team has a good chance to back their way into the tournament. What else do they want?! ;)

UK might have an out...Gillespie still hasn't signed his contract.

He hasn't signed it because the contract has a morals clause in there. From what I hear he has a drinking problem, the university has already had to hire a personal driver for Billy G. Back in Kentucky the big debate is who has the lesser coach, U of L football (Kragthorpe), or UK Basketball. It's really quite amusing to listen to the call in shows down here...

The Kentucky Rivals message boards are the busiest college message boards in the country.--

There are thousands of people online at any given time, and the all time record is almost 20,000 just after Billy Gillispie was named coach in April, 2007.
Most of the activity is in one of 2 basketball forums, The Rupp Rafters which is public, and the House of Blue, for members only.
It appears most of the threads relate to the poor job the fans think Gillispie is doing and how Kentucky should replace him.

My brother lives around 45 minutes east of Lexington on Morehead, Ky and I can tell you even the grandmothers in his church know the starting line ups and the recruits coming in. If you think our rivalry is big regarding ISU you have seen nothing compared to the KY - Louisville rivalry. Family memebers stop talking to each other once basketball season starts! If you ever been to certain parts of KY there really is not much to do but become a fanatic of basketball.
