Wednesday NIT results

yawn....were there any close games or buzzer beaters?

now that Kentucky has lost...rumors are flying there'll be an announcement soon of Gillispie's firing.

Also San Diego State rushed the court after a quarterfinal NIT win....

I was shocked with the size of the crowd at the SDSU game. Lots of stuff to do in San Diego and it looked like a sellout last night. Good for them. The NIT has become a really good tournament.

Attendance - 12,414

That's a big crowd.

A quote from a recap:

"The biggest game in San Diego State hoops history ended with Steve Fisher??™s Aztecs earning a trip to the Big Apple and sending Patrick Mills into his offseason."

They have never advanced this far before in any postseason tourney, so yes they have every right to be excited! Good for them!

I'm still pissed at Duke, Kansas and Memphis for ruining my bracket LOL. Louisville certainly deserves the overall #1. Long, athletic, can hit the shots and play awesome pressure D. As we know with North Carolina from last season, it only takes one bad game and your out. Louisville has to keep bringing it.

I noticed nobody started any threads on the NCAA games the past two nights...maybe not much interest from the midmajor people??

But does anyone else wonder (like I do) how Oklahoma and Louisville ever lost any games this season?
They both looked dominating.

and who, among all the midmajor coaches who have moved up the ranks in the past couple years,
has done any better job than Mizzou's Mike Anderson?
He is doing so well with largely the personnel he inherited!

I would expect Anderson to get some pretty hot attention for other spots and a big boost in salary by Mizzou.
